question - i have park hopper tickets and was planning to have dinner in MK before DAH starts so we'll already be in the park. I also have my DAH tickets being sent to me (hopefully they arrive before our trip!). do i have to check in somewhere for DAH or can i just start riding rides @ 8pm?

I was told I could get my lanyard from guest services instead of going clear back out to get it. That is when I entered the park if I entered before CM were handing them out. I plan to arrive around 4ish as doing DHS first that day.

one more: will these tickets show up in MDE account? I bought them over the phone today and i don't see them in MDE yet..

I had to put in my confirmation number into MDE to link the ticket to my magic band, then it showed up.

Mine just showed up in MDE without doing anything else, but for those going it would be worthwhile to check and if it is not in MDE add it. That way it will be on your account and if you forget your tickets or whatever you are covered. Last year when we were going in there was a group just ahead of us who didn’t have their tickets linked and the CM’s had a problem with the paper they were showing. They were told to go stand in line for guest services. If you can avoid doing that now and handle it while you are home I think that is always a good thing!

Will be there on January 19th! We have a Cinderella's Royal Table reservation for 4:45 (we will be in MK that afternoon anyway) and I'm very happy HEA will be happening that night since we will be at California Grill for HEA the only other MK day I have planned. 9 days before my trip!!! Only thing kind of bumming me out is the planned closure of Splash Mountain. The view at night from the top of the hill is one of my favorites in all of WDW. Oh well, next time!

we leave one week tomorrow for our poly stay as well. I am too bummed that splash mountain is closed. it reopened for the holiday season....i was hoping we would at least catch the tail end of it being open. it is the best view in the property!

Does DAH often sell out? We’d like to go on January 19, but that’s the sixth day of our trip, and I’m just not sure how our six-year-old will do with a late night after several days of Disney. I’d like to play it by ear a bit and not purchase tickets too far in advance since they’re non-refundable.

None of them sold out last year and none have yet for this year. I would wait if you aren’t sure. It’s kind of pricey if you decide last minute not to do it.

So much for waiting! I read all the rave reviews here and decided to rearrange our touring schedule to make sure that the 6-year-old will have the stamina to do it on Jan. 19. Please add us to the list!

Now the question is whether to keep our Fireworks Dessert Party reservation that same night and the EMM reservation for earlier in the week. I think if I can get a last minute PPO ADR, we'll probably skip EMM.

That would be good! I will probably be entering before 3 and doing some rides and early dinner, so it would be helpful if I didn't need to walk all the way back to the front to get my lanyard.

Going on 2/8 with an 8pm start. It sounds fun being on BTMRR during the fireworks. For some reason the latest FP I can get is for 6:30pm. I’m wondering if Disney is limiting the 7 or 7:30 fastpasses for this very issue, or people snatched them up for the same idea as me. I can’t get a time past 6:30 for space or Peter Pan either. 7DMT is my obviously sold out.

They might just be gone. I looked for our dah night and I’m able to get space, pp, or 7dmt all after 7pm. 7dmt only has one time left. I’m not getting a FP for it though because I got hm instead. I don’t want to waste dah time doing hm.

As others have said, none sold out last year (and if they did it was day of and/or pretty close to the date and didn't get discussed around here). Disney started selling tickets to this much earlier this year (Sept vs Dec) so I'd caveat that we don't really know what that means for sell-outs this year. I wouldn't be all that concerned about it, but I'd keep a pretty open mind (and plan) just in case!

Have you tried the free reservation finder at touringplans.com? You just have to set up a (free) account to be able to access it. Lots of people have had good luck with it. It found me a new BOG ADR last week, when my original ADR was too close to the fireworks time.

My mom, daughter, and I will be attending the 1/19 DAH. We have a very short trip planned and this will probably be our only MK day to ride the rides. I am hoping we can get in around 4:00 since we will not be using a regular park ticket that day. I have been wanting to attend DAH since the first ones started and ths is my first trip which coinsided with one.

My mom's favorite rides are PoTC and HM. I have seen others saying that HM takes up too much time to ride during DAH. With so few people attending DAH is it really a bad idea to ride HM then? Thanks.
