What no People Mover?! And I can't cancel and get a refund . . . guess I will just have to use a FP . . .

:rotfl:I was going to post the same comment! We’ll just have to ride it before park close! AND do CoP! It is a DS11 must-do.

@April P - We’ll be there 2/8. I am REALLY hoping for some warmer weather.

On a sad note, on the Friday after our DAH DS and I are supposed to drive down to West Palm Beach to pick up DH and other two boys at the airport so that we can visit DH’s 96 year old Grandma. Sadly, her blood pressure has become erratic and high and she has been admitted to the hospital. We are hoping and *praying* that they are able to get her stabilized and she makes it long enough for us to get one more visit in. She knows we’re coming so hopefully that will keep her spirits up and give her something to look forward to. Her mind is sharp as a tack, but it seems her body is not keeping up. :(

Sorry to hear the sad news. Hopefully your husband's grandmother will improve.

According to Disney's website the 1/19 DAH is sold out. I am a little disappointed but I hope that the number of people attending will still be low.

Breaking news, thanks!

I wonder when it happened. I checked all the dates sometime over the weekend and they were available.

We were there on the only night that sold out last year. We had no trouble riding anything we wanted, and we got plenty of “empty castle” photos. The place wasn’t totally deserted like some of the early DAH nights last year, but it was the emptiest I’d ever seen it.

Thanks for this! I was freaking out when I saw it was sold out. I’m also going to go WAY out on a limb here and say maybe they undersell the first night to get some good publicity, so they can oversell the other nights. There’s basically zero chance of this, but I can pretend :rotfl2:

I am actually a little happy to hear that one has sold out and shown as that. It makes me feel better that they are actually capping the attendance and not just selling as many tickets as possible. It is better to sell out than have the parties like they did when it was first offered in Spring 2016 where they were basically giving away a ton of free tickets. Fingers crossed though it will still be the same experience of an overall empty park such as is marketed.

Mind if I ask, which date did you go last year? I wasn’t sure if any had sold out yesterday. Thanks!

Wow, surprised to hear Friday's event to sold out. Guess it didn't matter it wasn't the most popular date on the Dis, lol! Will be even more interested to read reports now. Hope everyone still has a great time.

That was sort of my first thought as well.

Hi! New here, but so happy to have found this thread. We're going to DAH on 1/26. I've reserved some fast passes for the 5-7 o'clock range in case we get in early, but am having a last minute freak-out. We have one day tickets for the next day at Animal Kingdom. Using the 1/26 fast passes won't mess up my 1/27 fast passes at AK even if we only have the one day ticket, right? I feel like it should be fine, but just want to make sure. Thanks!

So have you made FPs on the DAH night and also have FPs made for the next day at AK? You 'should' be fine, nothing to worry about.

Now I'm curious to see what a sold out crowd looks like. We decided to buy tickets (1/26) based on vlogs we watched where every ride was not only a walk on but most of them had empty cars or literally no one else in the que. the only exception was 7DMT which was maybe a 3 ride cycle wait. I'll be bummed if it's more like a light crowd day and less like a deserted park.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I guess I should not be surprised. If it is going to be crowded enough to merit 8am-midnight on Saturday, MK closing at 8pm was going to drive people to DAH. I'll just keep thinking happy thoughts... =)
