And can I just say that I've fallen completely in love with Disneyland. Charm abounds.

It's kinda my home park too in that it's only a 12hr flight away and the only one we have been to. We have a WDW trip this year, it's going to be interesting to compare, I'm trying not to prejudge but really, deciding where to eat 6 months out? I love the spontaneity you can still have at DLR, and a loose plan is all you need (if anything).

You y'all (or as we would say in NZ youse fellas) have a great 10k

You have to go through security at Disneyland Hotel first

I think that's the fastest way from my hotel - is there a better way or security if you go from Harbor too?

Also, what time do you all like to get to the corals for the half?

REALLY??? I didn't see either of those, maybe they brought them out after?? I stopped for Hook and Smee, Chip and Dale, and bypassed Goofy and Pluto, but I didn't see Peter and Wendy, I might have stopped!

It was tough today, felt great getting up this morning but once we started running my body was not feeling it. Overall not bad, 1:00:56 (my goal was sub-1:00) but I'm a little nervous for tomorrow. Maybe I was still just recovering from the long flight.

This morning was so crazy though, all of us just standing outside Earl of Sandwich for an hour and not letting us to the corrals. They said something about clearing debris??

Seeing all the 10k people with their medals is making me both emotional, jealous and super excited!

I was SO happy with all the character stops. Yay runDisney for recognizing their miscalculation! (I stopped for everyone but Lightning McQueen and Mater)

Good news- Lots of character stops- nothing I had to do though.

Now the bad... the music... can they find more than one song to play the entire route????? I will say this, imo, Tink needs an overhaul. I wouldn't be surprised to see a new theme coming in the next few years. Tink is just too limited compared to Princess weekend where they can pull from literally any movie for theme. Tink on the other hand doesn't even really try and work the Hook and Peter Pan aspects of that franchise. Both Star Wars weekends this year were far better organized and the theme maximized for your enjoyment. Wine and Dine as well. Just my thoughts. Also, I'm a guy so there's that too. Love the 10k medal. On to the half tomorrow!

So I tripped fell and hit my wrist knee and hip near pirates. Luckily I didn't break anything but I'm going to be sore and bruised tomorrow. So not happy right now!

Glad they added in character stops today - and there seemed to be more pirate self-photo opportunities (3 in DL and 1 in DCA) - maybe because of the upcoming movie? Perhaps they should have alternated between "yo ho" and "following the leader' songs for more variety
