Bahahaha. We've been complaining all week that we were running out of steam and now we're all stressed that we have info. I'm the same! Can't wait to figure out what we're going to do!

No I do too now because it becomes real and there is just too many variables; do I modify my existing reservation with these dates not really knowing if they are solid dates???

going Monday will cost us maybe 100 more in the airfare then what I had in my budget but honestly, even with that 100, I am still adding up everything and think I can still find value in it. However any thought of moving to a mod for me flew out the window.

I see the dates which work out great for me but what about the plans. Are we thinking the moderates are only getting quick service?

Is anyone who was planning on moderate still finding it worth it? I can stay off property, pay for dining OOP and save $1,000, plus everyone gets their own beds. I'm wondering if others are finding this worth while.

We are booked at CBR Dec 11-16 and have two rooms because we have 6 adults and 3 kids. If this is what they're offering then we may reconsider. By the time we add hoppers and upgrade dining plans we are spending more than we'd like.

So maybe - having the reservation at POP already for 8/22-9/1 will make it easier to snag free dining as a modification to reservation online ?
I was thinking that I may need a new reservation the day fd is available . But there have been no rooms available all week. I was getting nervous that there would be no way to reserve a new room and cancel original reservation. Now I am thinking maybe it's a good thing I reserved already and can modify online when it is officially announced. Just a thought . And a wish

Personally I am shocked that FD includes check ins up to Dec 23rd... so tons of folks are going to have FD over Christmas and NY break? That does not make sense from a money standpoint to offer that when it is always heavily booked. I am happy for folks that will get it!!!! Just confused as to why it is happening.

Also, any idea why AS Movies is excluded? That is what I was hoping for if POP was booked when I need it. ( planning for 9/6-9/13 but can move a day or two either direction) Any tips on booking if my first choice is not available? Best to move a day each way and try again, try AS or ?????

All Star Movies has been excluded from free dining for awhile now. It gets booked up so no need to offer free dining at it.

If Mods only get QS, we will be staying offsite. We have 6 adults, 1 kid and a baby and two rooms at CBR. Upgrade DDP totally takes away the gift card savings and even adds a few hundred more. Getting a villa or 2 deluxe rooms is just way to expensive. If Mods only get Free QS, we're staying offsite. Which I think I'll be OK with. Yes, I will make it work!!

Exciting news tonight!!

So my problem is the QS at mods. Our plans regardless of FD are Sept 14-18 with 2 day PH. At the moment we are booked at CSR hoping for FD with regular dining plan but now that mods are possibly only getting QS I'm stuck deciding if we should switch our reservation back to POP pool view and hope for FD and just upgrade the dining. We want to upgrade dining plan anyways but we booked CSR knowing we could swing it if we had FD. I guess we will change to POP now to be safe and if by some chance mods end up getting regular dining plan then I try to pick it up when it drops...would rather be safe then sorry. The difference isn't astronomical considering we are splitting costs but it's enough that we don't want to spend the extra to stay at a mod instead. We will hardly be in the room anyways. Cramming as much into the 4 days that we can!!

Welp I crunched the numbers and...with the cost to upgrade to the DDP and from a mod puts at not enough savings to be worth the trouble. The deluxes still seem to be out of reach because all that I can see that is available is the pricier rooms when I search the deluxe resorts with my dates (example all that is available at AK is the 1 bedroom suite all that is available at WL is the family suite). I kept on thinking of changing to a value but...This isnt just any old trip for us-Its our first trip to Disney World and I just want to feel like I'm excited about our resort rest days and I dont think I would.

So I want to sleep on it a few nights but...you all might get free dining to yourselves.

You would have to buy a 4 day PH...so if you are only doing 2 day ones now, that will add almost $200/person to your totals...

Oh did I miss the part about needing 4 day PH? I didn't read it as that I thought he just stated it needed to be a 4 night minimum stay but never saw a minimum for tickets. In the past it was 2 day PH so I'm just speculating (praying!).

Here's updated info.

Looks like free dining could be dropping on April 24. Minimum of 4 nights, maximum of 14, with park hopper and park hopper plus add on. Check in dates: 8/13-9/30, 11/14-11/20, 11/25-11/27, 12/3-12/23. It also appears that values AND moderates may get quick service, with regular dining only for deluxe resorts (I hope that is wrong).

As always, information is fluid and more detail will hopefully come.

Wow 386 pages! I think I'm more anxious about closing my browser and waking up to 600 pages thank having to book FD on April 24

I think we can assume the FD dates ‎offered to Brazil will be the same for us North-Americans and Americans. But the regular dining will be available for moderate and deluxe (hotels to be confirmed) and quick service for value resorts as previous years.
