Official 2016 HHN-26 Thread

I'm attending the first hhn. Are you guys saying that we won't know which holding area goes to which houses until that first party? I wanted to try to get AHS done first if it will open early.

What should I do? Just pick a holding area and hope for the best?

I always read your posts due to your screen name.....

In my prenup the only thing Mr Mac had was I had to root for the buckeyes the rest of my life

Yea, he grew up in Ohio and my dad was from Ohio

House location has been released on other sites

If holding areas are the same as past years, you will know which holding are to stay in

But, until we read info on opening night, we won't know which houses will open early for those in the holding areas

Not all houses will open when the pens are released early

I wonder if the houses that open early for the SS folks will be the same ones open for the AP special event nights from 5:30-6:30 which are the Halloween, TXChainsaw, and Tomb of Ancients?

No they won't. When I went in 2013, they blocked off the entire back of the park until after the AP event ended.

I'm not familiar with the company but that doesn't mean much as I don't shop around since I have the preferred AP

I buy my Hhn tickets at a discount on the AP hotline site

Anyone that has a day park ticket can buy discounted Hhn tix which is near the price of the company you listed

The day ticket can be any day and not specially on a Hhn event period

Hopefully others will be able to direct you in your decision making

Thank you! It looks like this deal is for TWO tickets at that price. So if it is legit I'm thinking this is a pretty good deal. Hopefully another person will see this and perhaps know more.

Later I will google this company and try to find out if there are glitches

What I can do is bump your thread and keep it on the first page of this forum so others will not miss your question

You have tour the Westgate Resort......and the joys of vacation club will be explained to you. Minimum 2 night stay and Includes breakfast and a fun entertaining discovery tour of the property!

Click on the little information button beside prices subject to availability..........and a little pop up appears......the usual no obligation to buy...........

I did get some general info about Magical Getaways and see they do packages of minimum 2 days with wdw or UO

On their site they are listed as a partner hotel with UO
That would be selected off site hotels

Same with Disney, Busch gardens , etc

Some of their Disney packages are so cheap makes me want to find what the catch is.... Lol

I'll see what I can find about UO ticket pricing

But do hope anyone that has used them, will jump in this thread

Anyone can find info on the company but would be better to have first hand experience with them
(all the pros and cons)

Oh I see..so you can't buy just the tickets, you have to book a package?? Well, darn. Thanks Ischism and Schumigril and Macraven for the help!!

The official site has been updated with a ride/attractions tab with the houses, SZ, and rides listed. Rides open will be: Mummy, Rockit, Simpsons, MIB, Transformers, and Gringotts.

Was Gringotts opened last year? This makes me very happy I can go on it during HHN as well . Is it a regular line for Gringotts or do they use EP on HHN nights?

Same rides as last year

Yes, gringotts was opened last

Our private rip tour at Hhn rode it before it shut down for the night

HI, does anyone have code for Coca Cola? FL residents??

Never mind.. Got it 201610026

I'm waffling between 2 plans and seek opinions:

Friend and I are going to Universal/HHN from Thur Sept. 22 to Mon. Sept 26. Flying in Thursday morning, Flying out Monday evening. We’re staying on-site at Cabana Bay, and we have annual passes and Rush of Fear tickets, so we can attend Uni/HHN as much or as little as we choose for the duration of the trip. HHN up to 4 nights (Thur-Sun)

We also have a ticket to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary for Friday Night, and a 1 day ticket to Epcot purchased. We obviously need to sacrifice Friday night at HHN to go to Not-So-Scary because it’s a hard ticket. What I’m waffling on is when to go to Epcot:

Plan A: Go to Epcot Friday before Not-So-Scary… sacrificing half a day at Epcot (We’d need to leave Epcot at 3, Epcot closes at 10) (Total: 3 Full Nights at HHN, ½ Day at Epcot, 1 Evening at Not-So-Scary)

Plan B: Go to Epcot Saturday until park close… sacrificing most (if not all) of Saturday Night at HHN. (Again, Epcot closes at 10, so we *Might* make it to the last hour or two of HHN if we hurried back to Universal. But it’s not something I’m relying on, and it would be a happy bonus if we did.) (Total: 2 Full Nights at HHN [Maybe a little Extra], 1 Full Day at Epcot, 1 Evening at Not-So-Scary)

In either plan, we’d cram as much daytime Universal into the cracks as possible. (A comparable and adequate amount either way.)

The root of the question becomes, what makes more sense? 1/2 Day at Epcot and 3 Nights of HHN, or a full day at Epcot and 2 Nights of HHN.

We originally wanted to leave ourselves 3 full nights at HHN to be thorough, but the more I consider, the more I hate to give up half a day at Epcot. Can we adequately cover all there is to do and see at HHN in 2 Nights? (Plus maybe an extra hour on Saturday)

PS. We’re both strapping young people in our early thirties, so exhaustion doesn’t greatly concern us.
PS2. Yes, we plan to stay and scream at HHN to get the jump on as much as possible. (Whether that’s 2 nights or 3 nights)
PS3. No we don't have express passes, and we don't really plan to buy them. However, we don't really plan to ride rides during HHN, as hey, that's what the daytime ticket is for.

Saturday Hhn always has larger crowds for the event

So Hhn Thursday and Sunday
Hit Epcot Saturday and return to Hhn in the evening

Hhn closes at 2:00 am Sunday morning
You'll get some houses in then

So now you have plan C
You can sleep on the plane when you leave......

You can get two full nights of Hhn and possibly do 2+ hours late Saturday
