I'm waffling between 2 plans and seek opinions:
Friend and I are going to Universal/HHN from Thur Sept. 22 to Mon. Sept 26. Flying in Thursday morning, Flying out Monday evening. We’re staying on-site at Cabana Bay, and we have annual passes and Rush of Fear tickets, so we can attend Uni/HHN as much or as little as we choose for the duration of the trip. HHN up to 4 nights (Thur-Sun)
We also have a ticket to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary for Friday Night, and a 1 day ticket to Epcot purchased. We obviously need to sacrifice Friday night at HHN to go to Not-So-Scary because it’s a hard ticket. What I’m waffling on is when to go to Epcot:
Plan A: Go to Epcot Friday before Not-So-Scary… sacrificing half a day at Epcot (We’d need to leave Epcot at 3, Epcot closes at 10) (Total: 3 Full Nights at HHN, ½ Day at Epcot, 1 Evening at Not-So-Scary)
Plan B: Go to Epcot Saturday until park close… sacrificing most (if not all) of Saturday Night at HHN. (Again, Epcot closes at 10, so we *Might* make it to the last hour or two of HHN if we hurried back to Universal. But it’s not something I’m relying on, and it would be a happy bonus if we did.) (Total: 2 Full Nights at HHN [Maybe a little Extra], 1 Full Day at Epcot, 1 Evening at Not-So-Scary)
In either plan, we’d cram as much daytime Universal into the cracks as possible. (A comparable and adequate amount either way.)
The root of the question becomes, what makes more sense? 1/2 Day at Epcot and 3 Nights of HHN, or a full day at Epcot and 2 Nights of HHN.
We originally wanted to leave ourselves 3 full nights at HHN to be thorough, but the more I consider, the more I hate to give up half a day at Epcot. Can we adequately cover all there is to do and see at HHN in 2 Nights? (Plus maybe an extra hour on Saturday)
PS. We’re both strapping young people in our early thirties, so exhaustion doesn’t greatly concern us.
PS2. Yes, we plan to stay and scream at HHN to get the jump on as much as possible. (Whether that’s 2 nights or 3 nights)
PS3. No we don't have express passes, and we don't really plan to buy them. However, we don't really plan to ride rides during HHN, as hey, that's what the daytime ticket is for.
