Official 2016 HHN-26 Thread

Is anyone doing the non-private RIP Tour this weekend or does anyone know of a site that'll be giving a rundown of the RIP Tour experience for this year?

google it after Hhn opening night has been completed and there might be someone that made a report about it

I also find things in other sites

anyone know if the stay and scream areas have been confirmed yet? I know where they usually are I just don't want to assume which houses I can do stay and scream at in certain locations etc!

That's my big question! I hope we find out tonight. I want to know 1) Which stay and scream areas this year have an air conditioned location that serves food (so only Finnegan's? Or Leaky Cauldron? Simpson's Fast-food?) and 2)Which Houses seem to open a bit early for the Stay and Scream folks.

I guess I have one other question too, if anyone has found and Easter Eggs/Red Buttons!

would this be the thread to post personal experiences? Don't want to post in the wrong place. Went to the Team Member preview on Wednesday
Feel free to post here or you can make a new thread

Making a new thread would be good as you would be getting lots of questions on your experience

If it were me, I would make a new thread so all I do would be in one place and not interlooped with other subjects

But it is your choice to make that decision

My tip if it's not been already covered.

You will save yourself some walking if you do these three house in order. 1) Halloween (Parade bldg), 2) Tomb of the Ancients (Tent 1), 3) Texas Chainsaw (Tent 2).
The exit for Halloween dumps you right at the entrance to Tomb. The exit for Tomb dumps you right at the entrance to Texas. This works great to save some walking but wait times may impact your decision.
This also may not work if you do the Springfield S&S as The Purge (T1) was the first house open at 5:45 last year and that dumped us at Insideous (T2) up by MIB. Once we completed that we then walked back through Springfield to The Walking Dead (Parade) entrance.

While I prefer Finnegan's for S&S (AC, food, beer, seats), I also like Duff's if it's not too hot out and I can get a seat for at least the wife. Moe's is also great. Since we are in the park all day, we like to do S&S early to secure seats and relax a bit. While Hollywood is a great S&S area this year because of AHS and Exorcist, there really is no seating to speak of and it's outside.

Hope everyone has a great time!

Never been to HHN and so I'd love to try it. I have to go pick up my DD at the airport Saturday afternoon so getting day pass for Universal is out. How crazy of an idea is it to go to the HHN on a whim like this? Will lines be that unbearable that we will never want to go back again? How long are wait times usually on a Saturday night? Yes, I know it sounds insane but if I'm going to drive to Orlando anyway, I'd like to have some fun out of it. I originally wanted to go to dinner at Citywalk but that may be crazy too from the sounds of it :sad2:

Just got home from the firs night of HHN. I'm a lucky Orlando local with an AP (without express) so I can leisurely go at my own pace. I got in around 4:45pm and went to the Hello Kitty holding area. They didn't let us into the area until 5:00pm. There was a bar open but not the gift shop. At 5:45pm they let us into AHS, I also did Exorcist right after with a 20 minute wait and as I exited that, they opened up the line for the Ghost Town one so I basically walked into that and had all 3 done before the general public was let in. I did the Tomb house and it was pretty good too.

I also saw Bill and Ted. I prefer HHN25 Bill and Ted. This one was funny at times but I doubt I'll see it every time I go to HHN like I did last year. The House of Fear show as amazing! I would make it a point to see that every time I go. The scare zones were eh. I enjoyed a lot of them last year but I'll have to take more time in the coming weeks. It seemed very crowded at times, you could only get thru in a single line. By the time I left at 10:30pm everything was 60 minutes +

I'll be going back tomorrow and Sunday to try and catch the rest of the houses and scare zones more! I met a nice Brit husband/wife at AHS..so if they happen to be on the boards, hi!

Liked that you posted

Last year I was not impressed with Bill/Ted

Was hoping it would be better this year

I hot that show on each of my visits to hhn

Wheres the hello kitty holding area? Since its closer to most of the houses we want to do for the first night . We want to get what we can done with out using EP Last time we were there there was no Hello Kitty store so I am not sure where it is near the entrance?

It's where the Betty boop store is.

A whole lot quieter tonight.......much better crowds......but still blazing hot! Till we left......got back to hotel around 9.30 and heavens have opened. Bouncing down and lightning too.

Got there at 6.15 tonight and went straight to Krampus.....it opened at 6.20 and we walked straight on with EP.....very short house but good.

Vamp 55 was slightly better tonight........but not great.

Lair of the Banshee was excellent........fabulous SA who know how to get folks........me!!! It's a lot of fun and very well done.

Halloween was a 5 minute wait around 6.50 so we did the regular queue and then EP.......fantastic house that scared the living daylight savings out of me again.........my favourite so far!

Tomb of the Ancients we thought poor. Part of the problem was the house is too dark.......couldn't see the SA at all which kinda defeats the purpose. Not a favourite and probably won't do it again........walked on with EP.......regular queue was only 20 minutes.

Texas Chain Saw was a bit of a disappointment.........no real scares and the fog inside the house was choking everyone........very short house. Walked on. Regular queue was 45 minutes.

DA was empty........plenty of pic opportunities..........even rode Gringotts which was a walk on. Met slford and his wife again tonight outside Gringotts.

Scare zone highlight is Dead Mans Wharf..........best scare zone in a long time.......SA were fabulous and zoned in on me in droves.......I had four SA around me at one point........so funny.......now........but the best scare zone they have this year.........

Survive or die scare zone wasn't bad........wasn't great either..........

The Exorcist was better tonight........some good scares in that house. But had a lady behind us who was overacting in the extreme.......and loud! Walked straight on with EP regular queue was saying 30 minutes but looked longer, not sure if it changed after we walked through.

Chance in Hell was good.........her and my dh had a funny interaction........she's good............

AHS..........not a favourite..........walked on again. Regular was 30 minutes when we went on.

Took loads of pics tonight...........easier as it wasn't so busy........

The Exorcist was slightly ruined by a child in front having a meltdown and parents kept going........a TM tried to take them out but they weren't for going. Poor kids, especially the younger one who was maybe 6 or 7 was terrified, but selfishly those around the kids did not get the full enjoyment we should have because of it...........

Still to see Lunatics Playground and Ghost Town.........and Bill and Ted.

A much better night altogether.........I feel sorry for folks heading in as we left as the rain was bouncing down about 10 minutes later. And is still on.

Absolutely whooped.......
