Official 2016 - Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend

Good luck to everyone registering tomorrow - excited to read about the races you're participating in. :D

PS: This means we get training shirts for sale on Disney Store too!

Good evening!
Newbie here ;)
I was hoping to get your opinions...
I brainfarted and didn't sign up during the AP window so I'm really stressed about signing up my family tomorrow.
My question is which order should I sign us up? I'm doing the 5k with one child, three others are doing the Kids Run and I'm hoping to convince my husband to do the 10K. Which will likely sell-out first?
Can I have multiple pages open? We are six legit people signing up and I'm not trying to cheat the system, but it would really suck if not all of us got into our respective races, you know? Especially because we are making it a family vacation and live hours away.
Do I sign the kids up under my active account?

Thank you for your thoughts!!!

Best of luck tomorrow!

So, registration is 2am my time! 10pm now and headed to bed for my first "shift" sleeping tonight.

I feel sorry for anyone who crosses me at work the day after a runDisney registration and the broken sleep that comes with it :surfweb:

Here's hoping the alarm goes off... :faint:

Hey everybody best of luck with registration tomorrow!

I was trying to figure out what the Active link will be for tomorrow and it looks like it might be:
http://www.active.com/anaheim-ca/ru...races/super-heroes-half-marathon-weekend-2016

Of course have the runDisney page open just to be safe... But that link might save you a little bit of time.

So registration should open on the linked page above also? (Yes, I'll hae the runDisney page up too...just trying to figure out how best to do this today!)

What's the benefit of this link versus the runDisney page? Just skipping a step or so?

AP registration results are typically a good way to let you know what may happen on regular registration day. For this weekend, only the 10K and the Kids Races have sold out.

So if it were me, I think I would do the 10K first, then the kids races, then the 5K. OR...if your husband could take or leave the 10K, maybe sign all the kiddos up first and then do the 10K, then the 5K.

But registration should be easier today - early registration is only like 5-10% of the total bibs available, so there are a lot more up for grabs today. If you're ready to go right at noon EST you should be able to get everything, I'd think.

You can have multiple BROWSERS open, and if your husband can do sign-ups at the same time then you could sort of divide and conquer, as both you and your husband will each need an Active.com account, and each of the kiddos will need to be signed up under an adult account.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do as far as Active accounts for my 8 year old son who I'm trying to sign up to run the 5k? (I'm signing myself up also). Does he need his own active account and do I have to go through the whole Rundisney link to active sign up process separately for him and then again for myself or can I register him and me at the same time on my active account since he's only 8? This is for the 5k, not the kids races. Any suggestions would be so appreciated!

He doesn't get his own account but you do need to register him separately. There will be an option under your account for "register yourself" or "register someone under 18."

So you'd do yours first and then his but not have to log out of Active.

THANK YOU!

Now to my other dilemma.... whether to register for the 5k and 10k, the 5k and the half, or the 5k and the 10k and the half!!! :scared:

@Figment1990 can't help you with that one!! But if you do decide to do the 10K + half make sure to register for the Infinity Gauntlet Challenge so that you get the bonus medal and shirt (rather than registering for the races separately). :)

So another question - anyone notice there's a pasta party listed on the registration page of rundisney? Was that there yesterday? Is that an error? I don't see anything else listed about a pasta party. I really hope there is though - DS would love that if they still have characters at it.

This race weekend was my favorite, I loved all three courses. I wish I could do it again this year! Good luck to everyone registering today!

2:07am and my registration is all done and confirmation emails received for both the challenge and the 5k. Avengers is probably the least stressful registration :)

Back to bed I go!

In for the Infinity Gauntlet Challenge! Clicked on the link at 9:00 am PST and got right in to register - no little running man this time. Fingers crossed Dopey registration goes this smoothly in 2 weeks!
