"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Hi. We are attending our 1st party this year. We are surprising our kids with the trip and party...they are going to freak out! They LOVE Halloween and talk about going to MNSSHP all the time! We will be attending 10/20 and I'm seriously debating adding another party during our trip.

Being that you have kids and this is your first time doing the party, I cannot recommend enough that doing 2 parties during your stay is needed. We have always done 2 parties during our stays and its nice having that "extra time" so to speak to really soak everything in.

As far as I know, no one signs at MNSSHP. Jack and Sally have had cards in the past.

ETA:Just saw the link above. I've never seen any character sign anything at the party, but that may just be because people are in a rush to get moving. Lol

You are probably right. You have been way more times than me!

Anyone else keeping an eye on the forecast for Tuesday's party and the rain chance? It's not looking good right now :(

I don't know why but I am so loving the tutu idea like the marathon runners do it. I am excited I will get to work on mine tonight.

I went as a Disney runner last year. Had a bib made up for a fake WDW Cupcake Challenge with number 1031. Folk kept asking me how it was going and if it was a real race. Super comfortable costume. I'm going to use it again this year... even more appropriate as we have MNSSHP on Halloween.

Thank you all regarding the signature answer. Really was looking forward to jack skellington's signature but oh well we will have an awesome photograph :) I may just bring my stuff along just in case things change this year...a girl can dream right :rolleyes1

I did two back to back last year both with the Soiree. I had a ball.

I am going on the 29th and thinking of adding a second party. There's so much to do and so little time :yay:

Crazy awesome!!! The two years that I went I did two parties both times and Halloween night both times as well. I would recommend it since you know Halloween night is sold out and will be very busy. There will be no way to see everything. If you do two parties, then one night you can concentrate on character meets if you are interested, then everything else on the other night. I generally end up watching the parade both times each night because I love it so much. I also really love Hallowishes. On one of my parties I got myself "trapped" in Fantasyland and couldn't get back around front of the castle for the fireworks. They were pretty amazing standing by the carousel. I was constantly spinning around because they go off all around you back there. I am pretty sure I am doing two parties again this year too.

If you can swing it two parties is a great way to ensure you can see/do everything you want! Especially since you know Halloween will be a sell out!

It's not crazy...just more fun and candy:dogdance:
I plan on at least 2 party's...but only wearing a costume on the 31st....well maybe twice..okay every time, now I wonder if I'm crazy????

Oh gosh, you guys were supposed to talk me out of it, thanks a lot!! ;) haha I appreciate the feedback, I'm leaning towards the second night. I guess I'd better buy that ticket soon-ish!

OOoo ooh I have a question. We're planning on doing Epcot the morning of our party then going over to MK around 3. I was thinking we would just park at TTC and take the monorail over to Epcot in the morning, but the last few times we've gone the monorail hasn't been running in the morning. Is there any way to know ahead of time if that will be an option or not? What would you suggest as an alternative if we can't reliably plan on the monorail?

You guys are making me consider a second party, too! I am leaning toward waiting until we have done the first one to decide...but of course, that risks a sell-out.

If it's like this morning they had buses running from Ttc to Epcot.

If you can - do it! we did one party our first and only MNSSHP, 31st October 2013. The next day was sold out otherwise we would have been back then. this time we are going twice - 25th and 31st of October. Can't wait :)

Although drama today. My costumes have arrived, both from the same etsy seller. 1 is perfect, its like a dream and will be my costume for Halloween itself (where we are going the DVC Halloween Party at the contemporary then heading over to MK for MNSSHP, I'll be dressing as Anna from the last scene of Frozen), the costume for the first night however... its a disaster. Its supposed to be blue dress Belle, but its just all over the place, bodice is too short, barely fits across my chest. The shirt is too small by far... I don't know how these could have come from the same person. :( Fingers crossed she'll get this fixed for me but no answer from her yet. Time to think about plan b!!

Anyone else having costume issues?

Oh no! Our costumes were ordered from etsy also and should be here in another ten days or so. I'm hoping that if they aren't perfect, that the problems will at least be little things that can be easily fixed.

Would you want to wear your Anna costume twice since it's so cute? That's really weird that the same person made both and one is that off.

I'm sure yours will be fantastic. What are your costumes?

That's the part I don't understand, if I ordered from 2 people, sure, 2 different results. But one that fits perfect and one that's a mess? Crazy. Anna for 2 days is definitely an option, but fingers crossed I'll get Belle fixed, especially since we have an early dinner at BOG that night :earseek:

I have a party ticket that I can use either the 15th or the 22nd (it's a comp ticket) - any suggestions on which one I should pick? I feel like the first party might be more crowded? I've always gone in October in the past, though, so I'm not sure.

I'm still not decided on what to dress up as. I want to and so does my sister and niece..but we absolutely are no good at being creative like that. We don't want to spend a lot but we want to do something.

Wow, seems like I am the only poor sole going to just one party. LOL!!!!
We are only going to one party too... Even that took some time to decide. We are staying 11 nights so it would be way cheaper to just park hop as usual that day ( the longer you stay the less the extra days cost). Fingers crossed that the party is very fun so my husband doesn't say "told you it wouldn't be worth it".
