Just arrived. Rain. Bought Poncho as my first souvenir. Seems to be a rainy week. Glad I did not go with a full length dress. Dress and cape arrived in the suitcase very wrinkly. Took a lot of ironing and now all is well. Just hope it doesn't rain during the party.

On a separate note, how fast does photopassphotos show up in your account? I bought memory maker but none of the the photos taken today have shown up in my account

DD 5 is going as Rapunzel so I am very slowly sewing baby brother a Pascal (the chameleon) costume. I have a head so far! Now for the body. Our party isn't until the end of October but the costume stuff is getting me excited!

Typically it's the classic characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy) plus Pooh's gang.

We'll be there on Sunday!! Woo hoo!!! The girls are still going to be princesses ,but hubby and I went for a cooler dress down, so we'll be greeters from the Haunted Mansion. Can't wait it's going to be soooo much fun.

Finally decided our costumes! DD8 hermione (I thought I'd save money sewing the robe but it's taking so long I should have bought!) DS4 rock pikmin, I am going to be lady Darth Vader and my husband will be luke in his black and Jedi robe.
I found a great Vader style dress by her universe at torrid, making a Death Star headband. He will we ear a black shirt I will paint faux robe lines and a belt, I guess. Then black shorts and the Jedi robe. Kind of Star Wars-bounding. The good part is I can wear this to comic con, school Halloween party and disney! Might wear to hollywood studios at the end of our week too since the kids have Star Wars outfits.

Now if I could get us to agree on magic band names...

Hi, looking for some creative advice. My son will be Barrel from the nightmare before christmas. I will be painting his face but I also want him to carry the mask. I have no clue how to make it. Any suggestions would be great, I'm not very creative. Thanks!!

Quick question...Haven't read through the whole thread but hoping someone can tell me when the sun sets Oct 18th or 20th. I'm trying to determine how long I'll have in daylight to take pics of the halloween decorations once we can enter Mk at 4:00 pm?

I checked and Sunset for the 18th is 6:55 and for the 20th is 6:53. Plenty of time to get some great photos.

Some Jack costume's were sold with a mask. Might find one cheap used on eBay, then you could just use the mask part.

Ours are Rapunzel, Flynn Ryder, and Mother Gothel. I found a lady on etsy who makes medieval style costumes and had her restyle some into costumes for us.

That sounds fantastic! you never see enough Mother Gothel's, one of the best villains.

Costumes were coming along well, but had to replace my sewing machine, to stick with the same brand was only in stock as the floor model and has a few missing pieces! I'm figuring it out and got a bit more done today, but hoping to have the pieces in and that I can figure the new machine asap!

Oh no My beloved 1960's sewing machine died on my as I was completing 40 Fish Extender gifts last year so I understand too well. Hope you get used to the new machine soon!

it can be as many as 48 hours, but if you are worried you can call by any of the photopass locations in the park and they can call the images up and make sure they are in your account.

I checked and Sunset for the 18th is 6:55 and for the 20th is 6:53. Plenty of time to get some great photos.

And that last hour before sunset is the best time to take photos in the Magic Kingdom

We're only going to one party...and not even part of a trip. We are making a long weekend to go down for just the party! Crazy right???

I'm doing the same thing! Leaving home on Friday, beach on Saturday, party on Sunday, driving home Monday. Being crazy is fun!

What material is the Hermione robe made out of? I ask because my daughter was Hermione one year and that robe lasted all of 30 minutes in that heat and humidity. She was sweating to death.
