"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Thank you all regarding the signature answer. Really was looking forward to jack skellington's signature but oh well we will have an awesome photograph :) I may just bring my stuff along just in case things change this year...a girl can dream right :rolleyes1
Like I mentioned, Jack was signing last week. Why train Jack and Sally to sign, if they're not going to be signing at the party? :confused3

I'm still not decided on what to dress up as. I want to and so does my sister and niece..but we absolutely are no good at being creative like that. We don't want to spend a lot but we want to do something.
I wish I could convince hubby to dress up but he's not giving in. Looks like we will be wearing Jack and Sally shirts.....it's the closest to Halloween I coud get him to commit to

Wow, seems like I am the only poor sole going to just one party. LOL!!!!
Nope, we're only going to one also......unless we get crazy and change our minds after the first one, lol! I don't see it fitting into the schedule, though!

We are only going to 1 party. With 4 of us ( + toddler) and the exchange rate right now (we are Canadian) it is just to expensive. We could add an extra night to our stay for less than the cost of another night.:) The kiddos don't really care about meet and greets so we may skip the ones with the really long lines.

Question!

Characters at MNSSHP will be dressed in their Halloween costumes, correct? I'm guessing princesses will be in their normal attire but who dresses in Halloween costumes? They will be at key spots throughout the park as indicated on the MNSSHP map, right?

I have a party ticket that I can use either the 15th or the 22nd (it's a comp ticket) - any suggestions on which one I should pick? I feel like the first party might be more crowded? I've always gone in October in the past, though, so I'm not sure.

I'd lean more towards the 22nd right now. 15th could possibly end up washed out if weather stays true to what they are saying.

We are going to one party. It's our first hard ticket event, so I wouldn't have even thought to book two nights. This is also our shortest trip ever. Add food seminars into the mix, and this will be our busiest trip ever!

Fun fact: My 30 days until this trip is also my 180 FP+ booking date for a spring trip.

I'm sure yours will be fantastic. What are your costumes?

That's the part I don't understand, if I ordered from 2 people, sure, 2 different results. But one that fits perfect and one that's a mess? Crazy. Anna for 2 days is definitely an option, but fingers crossed I'll get Belle fixed, especially since we have an early dinner at BOG that night :earseek:

Ours are Rapunzel, Flynn Ryder, and Mother Gothel. I found a lady on etsy who makes medieval style costumes and had her restyle some into costumes for us. :-)

Is the Celebrate the Magic show the same one they show on non-party nights or do they have a special one for the party? I love Celebrate the Magic but would rather be finding a good spot for the parade if it's the same show I've already seen.

From the map, it seems like the Fantasyland to Tomorrowland trail is the only trail this year.
Does that mean you get in line for candy in Fantasyland and work your way directly to Tomorrowland? Does mean the other candy locations are just walk up locations?

I wonder if Jack and Sally will sign this year. They were in training for the Halloween party at AofA at the end of August and signing then.

The reason they do not sign at parties is because it slows down the line. Assuming the line will be long again this year, I would assume they won't be signing. They have used autograph cards in the past:

We're going to our first MNSSHP on the 27th and can't wait! We're surprising our kids with a semi quick trip and the party! Me, my husband, and two boys (6,4) will be going as Dalmatians from 101 Dalmatians- black shirts, collars with oversized tags, white shirts with spots, and ears. My daughter (1) will be going as Cruella- cute etsy hair clip, Dalmatian skirt, white fur vest. So excited that Cruella is going to be a meet!! Have loved reading this thread!

If we meet Jack & Sally first (getting in line around 5:30) would you all recommend getting in line for Cruella right after or waiting? Any idea how long her wait will be?

Thanks so much! Can't wait to hear about the first party!

I understand the reason why they don't sign at parties. It completely makes sense. I just wonder why they would sign for people at AofA if they're training for the Halloween party.

They are not preparing only for MNSSHP - Jack & Sally have the potential to appear anywhere. Even though it's been a few years, they did appear for a weekend at DTD. They more regularly appear for special events or private functions.

THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

So excited family finally figured out costumes. Hubby will be Mike Wiz from Monsters inc. DD13 Malificent, DD13 Snow White and I'm going to be Cheshire Cat !! Can't wait our first MNSSHP!!

Anyone else having costume issues?
Costumes were coming along well, but had to replace my sewing machine, to stick with the same brand was only in stock as the floor model and has a few missing pieces! I'm figuring it out and got a bit more done today, but hoping to have the pieces in and that I can figure the new machine asap!
