"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

I just booked my MNSSHP tickets. I figure since I'll be there for Food and Wine, I'd do the Halloween Party too.

I'll most likely wear my short Evil Queen costume from about 5 years ago if it still fits - it should work for October since it's still warm then. I'm totally out of practice for the makeup and false eyelashes though so if the costume fits, I'll have to do some makeup practice.

Or I could be a pirate. I picked up a few pieces for that costume on clearance last year and found a shirt that would work well in my closet. I shall have to see which works better. The pirate would be less labor intensive for sure since it'd not involve as much makeup.

I bought each piece separately. I got the shirts from the Shop Disney Parks app, the headbands on eBay, and the tutus on Etsy.

Has merchandise information been posted anywhere yet? The party starts in 3 weeks but I can't find any info on stuff that will be for sale.

Maybe you meant merchandise specific for the 2015 MNSSHP? That I don't know. If you just want general Halloween, here is a good start:

Me too. I love how they are all themed to MK lands.

I'll also probably be picking up a Figaro in a pumpkin for my older sister (she is so easy to shop for).

Oh, and about camping for spots. I have said this before but I vastly prefer Frontierland for the MNSSHP parade. I think the atmosphere is a lot spookier over there with all the trees and it is a lot darker. It doesn't hurt that Frontierland spots are much easier to come by without having to camp for a long time.

I have a question. We are going for the week with annual passes, but we have tickets for MNSSHP on the 29th. Will we be able to make fastpasses for the time of the party? Will those be our three for the day, or could we theoretically get 6 since we could be entering parks with two different tickets basically.

Planning a first of November trip... curious how busy the Nov 1 parties usually are? Hoping not too bad this year since its on a Sunday. Any experiences with that date in the past?

I've had experience a few times with the Nov. 1st date. Usually, they are pretty relaxed and they are very, very willing to get rid of all that candy! I enjoy that date a lot!

We are going this year on October 18th, I believe. My girls and I are doing Disney character inspired poodle skirts and so forth that we are hoping to also wear to the fall Dapper Day.

There are no FP+ offered during party hours. Its not needed.

The Halloween parade runs the same route as the regular parade, correct? Does it begin in Frontierland or on Main Street? We always watch the regular parade from Frontierland, so we will probably stick with that strategy for the party.

No, only 3 FPs per user per day. You can make dummy users as part of your friends/family (to get the same booking advantage) and attach the party tickets to the dummy users to get 3 FP from 3:30-6:30 before the party starts but you'll need to get media for them to use at the Mickey readers. I've done that for a party this fall with a dummy user that I also added to my room so will have a MB for that user.

Awesome costume! I really wish dh would dress up. As it stands, we will be wearing Disney themed Halloween shirts. It's the most I could get out of him.
