The dwarf line will be forming as you sit down for your meal. By the time you are done eating, it will be very long.

Thank you for the info, you may of made my decision for me . I am going to have to talk to my DD14 and DD12 and figure out what our priorities are when it comes to meeting characters. The 7 Dwarfs are cool and we already have pictures with them from past parties, but Jack is our all time fave, so we may just want to head over to his side of the park. When we saw the Dwarfs at the last MNSSHP party, we were walking by their line and DH noticed that it wasn't that long so we jumped in (we maybe waited about 30 minutes or so), if it wasn't for the line being much shorter then usual, we probably wouldn't of seen them that night.

The My Disney app ate my BOG dinner reservation for the first party night, and I am heart broken!

I was one who got one of the 7pm reservations when they opened up Monday morning and I was over the moon. I was playing on the app tonight and saw an opening for two on our date for 6:15pm and I couldn't believe it. I thought it would be perfect as we could eat earlier and be done by party start. I clicked to take it and it let me know I had the conflicting 7pm reservation that I would have to cancel. I hit ok thinking that it would cancel the 7 pm while simultaneously booking the 6:15 pm, as it does on the site. But instead it canceled the 7pm and left me without the 6:15pm. I tried so quickly to recover the 7pm, but it was already gone.

Just wanted to share my story in case anyone else is also trying to alter times!

Wow overwhelming! Just when you think you have control of your Disney plans you read a forum like this. It is our first time at a party. How early should we choose a parade spot and where is the best place to sit so that we can enjoy activities before and after? When should we start lining up for characters?

I wouldn't miss the Villians Mix and Mingle. There are still characters there you won't see at Club Villain.

At Club Villain we saw step mother and sisters, Dr. Facilier, and Cruella when we were there.

Disney's resort buses will run continuously to and from the mk. It's going to be difficult to get into the gate if you arrive right at 7, as the vast majority don't know their ticket can get them in as early as 4pm. And you'll probably miss out on things since many lines begin as early as 5:30.

When does the Villains Mix and Mingle usually start and where is it? Where is Club Villain and when does it start?

I read earlier that there may not be a club villain due to refurbishment of the building.

There is no Villains Mix and Mingle this year. It's replaced by a Villains show staring the Sanders sisters from Hocus Pocus and it looks like it's going to be amazing!

Do character lines begin at 5:30?

Some will. 7D, Jack and Sally probably will.

Sorry if this has been covered... tried reading thru all 78 pages! and did a search, but no luck.

Today is our day to select FP+ for the party on 9.20. We don't have park tickets, but do plan to be at the gate at 4. There are 6 of us. I really wanted to get FP+ for the Dwarfs Mine Train ride - haven't ridden it yet. But of course, nothing was available. I see on last year's map that the ride was open during the party.

My questions... Do you think the mine train ride will be open again during this year's party? If so, how bad are wait times? when should we plan to ride? I'm thinking during the first parade or the end of the night when things quiet down? (assuming the kids are still keeping up)

It will be open. I'd keep my eye on the wait time all throughout the party. I've heard of the line being shorter during the first parade. If not, hop in line at 11:55 pm. You won't be wasting any party time at least.

My daughter and I changed our costumes to Tiana...so I'll be wearing a Tiana gown. Kinda nervous about that, but I my daughter begged me. It'll be a great memory. I'm ready to make a to do list. LOL!

Is there a breakdown somewhere of the times and locations that events are taking place during the party? Like Cadaver Dans, etc? I'm trying to somewhat figure out our game plan for the party. Also, where are the various M&Gs and who.s available to meet?

Last year we got in line behind (and started talking to) the MagicBand family. It was great seeing them in person.

We've been to a few of the MNSSHP and all were sold out but not nearly as crowded or hard to get onto a ride as a normal park day. We've made it a tradition to go each year! It's well worth the money.

It looks like my kids have settled on being Mal and Carlos from Disney Descendants. There are Mal costumes online but they all look pretty cheap to me, and nothing for Carlos, but I'm also thinking these are perfect DIY costumes. This will be a new adventure for me...usually we buy our costumes or have someone else make them. For the Descendants, though, I think it will be pretty easy to buy "real" clothes that will work as costume pieces.

That being said...I welcome any or all advice, best places to shop, what to look for, etc. I'm feeling completely overwhelmed right now!
