"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

With the late timing of the parade this year, I'd be really, really nervous about not getting in to meet them using this strategy. If you watch in Frontierland on the "right" side of the street, the parade will still take at least 20 minutes to get by you, so that would put you done at 11:35. Then you have to wade your way through humanity to Fantasyland...say 15 for that. There is no way the line for the 7Ds won't be cut by then.
Very good point - the line is consistently 90-120 minutes all night - it'd likely be cut before the 2nd parade. Also, just an FYI - we've never faced any major crowds getting from Frontierland to New Fantasyland after the parade, but I'm sure it depends on the night.

We've always met the 7Ds during the first parade and have never waited more than 40 minutes for them. Which is why we're willing to miss the first parade!

I helped a friend make an Anna costume, and actually did a super cheap one too. One option would be to Disney bound, but if you really want to make it look like her, I think Amazon is your best best. A black tank(I painted the design on with some fabric paint), a blue undershirt, and a long blue skirt. You could easily do that for under $75? As for the boots, they're harder. I made a pair of them by painting them. A cute option for the dress would be to google "frozen anna skater dress". Under $50, the dress is short and looks like Anna's whole design.
going to try and do Wendy from Peter Pan! ordered a long night gown with capped sleeves (has tiny flowers on it but am hoping no one will notice those at night! lol anyway, just going to tie a nice ribbon around my waste and wear black slipper type flats. Not sure what to do with my hair! it's red and about shoulder length...can't wear a wig...TOO HOT! I love your pictures though!

That's good to know. We usually line up for them first - honestly, in hopes that we meet them before the sun goes down (just to get a daylight photo), but we never get that through the line fast enough anyway. I'm going to be Snow White this year so meeting them is a necessity - I'll take your advice and plan to do that during the parade.

Slightly related aside - I get totally overwhelmed meeting them...I feel like I need to greet every one of them and always miss one in the stress of doing that (#magicalworldproblems). Last year Sneezy reminded me he was there by sneezing on me. :)

When I was at the first MVMCP last year I sat on the Fantasyland wall at 530 and I was the first one in line but I wasn't alone for long. Plan on doing the same this year for MNSSHP on Halloween

Oh wow.. that is 3 hours before the parade. I thought you said you did it during, sorry! :)

That was a different poster responding to your question. ;) I'm the one who said I've never waited more than 40 minutes during the first parade! Sorry, but I'd never wait that long for any character! Our #1 is usually a prince/princess combination, and we hop in their line around 6:35. That is the extent of my pre-party waiting!

We usually go and see the first stage show and then hop in line after that. Basically when people start flocking to Main Street, we bug out! I'd say it's usually around 8:00, when the parade started at 8:15. This year, our timeline will be pushed back a little based on the new parade times.

Hopefully, they'll being back the prince/princess combination M&G. Missed them last year when the princes weren't there.

I was so happy that last year we decided to change from our usual October trip to December, and after all the drama surrounding MNSHHP characters, they had the princes at MVMCP, so I didn't miss a year of Flynn. You would think that with Flynn now being a regularly cast character for the parade that they wouldn't have any issues with having him at the party. Of course, if he's not there and they actually implement the idea of princesses meeting with their villains instead, I'll be all over that and will get over not meeting Flynn!

I was second or third in line for the 7D last year at MNSSHP. Yes, it was a long wait, but most of it was before the party actually started and that was a high priority for us.

Hi!

I'm gonna jump in here because I am so excited to go to my first party this year!

My friend from college and I are going as Kuzco and Ezma from the Emperors New Groove (I am gonna be Kuzco because my friend wants to be super dramatic and glamorous with Ezma, plus my hair will be the perfect length! ahaha)

We are going either Sept. 25th or October 2nd, we haven't decided :)

Just heard about the Haollowishes Desset Party and of course it's sold out for my date. Do you think if anyone cancels it would show up on Cancelled Oct ADR thread???? Would LOVE to go!!!

I just ordered our costumes for the October 17th party! This is our first time to visit in the fall and our first hard ticket event. DD will be Rapunzel, DH will be Flynn Rider, and I'll be Mother Gothel. I used our 3:30-4:30 FP to meet Rapunzel. Hopefully we can catch Flynn and Mother Gothel somewhere during the party, but I figured we should get Rapunzel with a FP for sure. :-)

Great idea! I love looking out for those types of costumes.

Mother Gothel isn't a character you can meet, you might see her in the new Villains castle show.

You guys have me thinking about seeing the 7 Dwarfs early rather than later. The last MNSSHP we waited to see Captain Jack first but it was only a 10 minute wait for him (we were the second ones in line), then afterwards we went and saw Jane and Tarzan which we waited about 15 minutes for, then after that it was onto Aladdin, Jasmin, and Genie all at once. Does Captain Jack's line tend to get long once the party is in full swing? My family loves Jack Sparrow and we would hate to miss him because his line was so long. We have dinner reservations at Tony's at 5:25pm and I would consider getting in line to see the 7 Dwarfs afterwards just so we won't waist too much time waiting for them later, or would it be better to head over and see Jack first....decisions, decisions.

The dwarf line will be forming as you sit down for your meal. By the time you are done eating, it will be very long.

Does Gaston meet during the party? My DD20 insists she wants a pic with him, so I am trying to figure where to schedule that-hoping we can squeeze him in after fireworks.

Yes, but he's a regular during the day, so I would meet him earlier than 7, if possible. He's no different at the party vs. the daytime.
