I've found that almost any costume idea can be altered to fit an individuals needs is there something you want to go as?

I don't have anything in mind. I've been a pirate the 3x i've been the party in the past, but that costume won't work while nursing. I guess i could just wear the skirt and shoe covers and try to find a shirt that would coordinate somewhat.

Anyone have any ideas where we can find a hat like the one baloo wears in tale spin?

We'd rather look online, we have never had much luck looking for costume pieces in thrift stores and the like.

Look up red sailor hat on Amazon.

Change the stitching on the front or patch over it.

Just bought our tickets last night for the 10/25 party. SO EXCITED!! Now on to finishing our costumes. Doing an Up theme this time - I'll be Kevin and DH will be Carl. Can't wait! This is my favorite holiday and favorite hard ticket party at WDW!

If a skateboard is part of the costume (my boyfriend wants to cosplay as Beat from the game The World Ends With You), can we glue or otherwise change the wheels of the skateboard so that it is non-functional and carry it around in the park as a prop?

Oh my gosh, The world ends with you!!! How about just using the skateboard without all the wheels? I’ve seen old skateboards with all the wheels removed so people can repurpose them

Those are awesome!!! Great job. We are also doing Monsters Inc, I'm going to be Sulley (love the blue lol, even though my husband is taller than me) and my DH is going to be Mike. I'm making part of mine, and adding items we have bought to go all together to form our outfits. I'm really excited! My Mom is going to be with us for the trip but she's not interested in MNSSHP, so it's just us that night.

Okay - I thought I came to terms with not going this year but everyone wants to. My kids are so little and we are typically the 10-8pm crowd. They get up and go to bed early. Last year we made it until 10pm but that was pushing it!
Any ideas....advice on how to keep little ones up for this?

They just don't want to do the resort Halloween party.
They said they don't get enough candy there...lol

Sounds good. So, there's a chance there will be two Square Enix characters walking around the park on October 29th. Yup, we're a family of geeks and we're fine with that!

Hubby is wearing tan shorts with a yellow polo. I bought brown material for the sash and found badge patterns on Pinterest that I'm printing on iron on paper. I have orange material to make the neckerchief. For me I'm taking elastic and knotting different colors of tulle to make a skirt similar to Kevin's feathers. I have a blue tshirt and will probably make something for in my hair. Simple but to the point lol.

Forgive me if I'm incorrect about this, as I have only seen Up once, but did Carl ever wear a uniform like that? Don't you mean Russell?

I took one for the team about 5 years ago and wore the green tights all evening. It really wasn't bad. Actually wearing the tunic/tights didn't seem hot at all. Expect 3,000 nice leg complements if you decide to take the plunge.
The next year my wife was Dorothy and I was the scarecrow. Wearing what was literally a burlap bag and straw all night in the heat was the worst experience ever.

I'm excited too..planning on the crowd the night of MNSSHP Oct 31! My DD has no idea, but we are basing our family costumes on her decision for Halloween. She wants to be Joy, I'll be Disgust, my DS will be Anger, and my DisMom will be Sadness. I'm So EXCITED!

We're going the same night and my DD wants to be Joy too! I saw an adult Joy so I was trying to tell her I could do that and she could be Disgust but not sure yet. She's also talked about Teen Beach Movie - wearing Lela's pink outfit from the first movie so who knows for sure but we will look out for you
