"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Reading the recent posts makes me realize how much I can't wait to be back at WDW, especially during MNSSHP!!!

We'll soon be able to book our FP+ and I would have a quick question for you guys : to make FP+ selections before the party (4 to 7 PM), do we need to have our party tickets linked to our account or we can't book FP+ without having a ticket to the party yet?

This is so amazing it deserved to be quoted several times! The painting alone blew me away. So creative and you even got the "Walt Disney" perfectly. Did you do that with a toothpick? The writing looks smooth. I thought a toothpick would be out of "ink"/paint quite quickly and won't be able give you a smooth line. And the pre-recorded chips! How did you even come up with that clever idea? I love your creativity and attention to details. How do the chips work? Is it battery-operated?

These posts are so inspiring. I need to up my game. I'm still making the dress. Haven't styled or dyed the wig. Need ideas for the bag and shoes (Elsa's icy gown and chunky athletic sneakers don't mix!). So much to do, so little time

Thanks! Yes, I used a toothpick for the Walt Disney and the year. I had to dip it in the paint a bazillion times, but it worked. Lol! The sound modules are what they use for greeting cards that talk/play music. It's going to take a whole lot of trial and error to get it to work, but hopefully I can do it. My DH was the one who came up with the initial idea. I was in the kitchen making dinner one day, and he walked by and out of nowhere said, "Is there any way you can make our bags play the song when we open them?" I thought about it for a few seconds and I said, "I can try. Challenge accepted."

I'm usually pretty creative but I'm in a bit of a funk. My husband has agreed to go along with the frozen theme. Since he's got a beard longer than any of those Dynasty guys, he will be Sven! But apart from the antlers I really can't think of a good way of going about this... Thoughts??? Ideas???? Help please!!!! Thank you!!!

The half pink, half blue version is on my to-cosplay list! I can't wait to see how yours turn out. Have you dyed anything before? Be careful when buying your gown online as some fabrics cannot be dyed easily, if at all. Too bad you're not going as Rapunzel, she's one of my favorites. I just started sewing, too. Self-taught myself just to make costumes!!!

I've dyed a few things for costumes but not to this level. Rit recently came out with a dye for difficult fabric so I'll be trying that out. I'm hoping it works! I've only been doing costume/cosplay stuff for about a year but I'm hooked. Learning something new every costume!

So excited our party tickets arrived way sooner than i expected. Ordered them Friday, just chose the regular free shipping, which i thought would take forever since I'm in Canada. But Monday I got an email from UPS saying I was expecting a package Tuesday and it was them! I can't believe they came so fast! Super excited for our first party!

Has anyone had to pick up their tickets at will call? We ordered the tickets for home printing but our email service wiped our email so we can't access it to print. Disney said they won't resend the email but that we can pick them up at will call. A bit concerned about this since I don't have the confirmation info (that was in the email), although the tickets do show up in our MDE account.

Do you have MB ? why can't your link them to that?

My understanding is that you have to bring your tickets to MK and then you get a wristband for the party. Isn't that correct?

If your ticket is linked on your MB all you do is enter the at the gate entrance. After you enter a CM will give you your party wrist band.

Hmm. I wonder if they are already linked since they show up in my MDE with our other tickets under "tickets and reservations"? My wife purchased these, using our MDE account, so not sure if they automatically linked or not. Thanks for the feedback.

if not you can manually link them with the order number

I ordered party tickets but their not showing up in MDE in my tickets. I was assuming this was because I had to wait to get the tickets to link them. Is that wrong? Should they already be showing up?

You can manually link them with the order conf number that they gave you.

I'm excited too..planning on the crowd the night of MNSSHP Oct 31! My DD has no idea, but we are basing our family costumes on her decision for Halloween. She wants to be Joy, I'll be Disgust, my DS will be Anger, and my DisMom will be Sadness. I'm So EXCITED!

So my daughter will be hermione. My son will not budge from his choice of a rock pikmin from the nintendo game. Which looks like this....I guess I will just do a grey shirt and shorts, with a hat wiht the leaf. Might paint his t shirt with the angles/texture.



I am still not sure about the adults. Would love to be Tonks and Lupin but those costumes are too hard and too hot!
