"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

FP question. We plan to arrive at 4. When do we get to book the 4-7pm fast passes?

This is my idea for that time, tell me if I am off track. It's our first day of vacation and we have 1.5 or 2 more MK days later in the week.
4pm arrive at MK entrance
4-4:30 take pics, look around main st. Etc.
4:45/5 FP (probably jungle cruise or potc)
5:30/45 eat quick dinner at Columbia hh
6:15-30 FP small world ( DD fav, she will be happy to do on the first day)
OR FP 7DMT
6:45-7 FP haunted mansion. Going to try to make it so that when we exit the ride the park is in full transformation

I really don't think that you will need fast pass for small world, been to MK a party day and it's was walk on to that ride, no wait at all and I don't think that is gonna be a busy ride during the party also

Anybody know if wearing a jacket themed to look like the Organization XIII cloaks in Kingdom Hearts would be considered not a costume for non-MNSSHP days? I figure it'd be a layer for if it gets cold on party and non-party nights and also doubles maybe as Disney-bounding. The clothing in question would be something like this https://www.etsy.com/listing/107711354/kingdom-hearts-organization-xiii-hoodie?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=organization xiii&ref=sr_gallery_1

It just looks like a black hoodie to me, so I would say it would be fine.

FP+ scheduling ends at 6:30 on party nights. So you would need to book them 3:30-4:30, 4:30-5:30, 5:30-6:30. So your haunted mansion plan wouldn't work out. Since you can't enter until 4:00 (or a few minutes earlier), your first 2 can almost be back to back (depending on locations you choose). Or you could do the first one, eat, then do the other 2 back to back.

We just purchased tickets to the Halloween party in September. It will be our first time visiting at Halloween, but not to WDW. We are NOT using one of our hopper park tickets that day, but plan to arrive at 4:00. Can I schedule fp between 4-7 with the Halloween special ticket?
Thanks!

I'm usually pretty creative but I'm in a bit of a funk. My husband has agreed to go along with the frozen theme. Since he's got a beard longer than any of those Dynasty guys, he will be Sven! But apart from the antlers I really can't think of a good way of going about this... Thoughts??? Ideas???? Help please!!!! Thank you!!!
What about getting red suspenders and decorating with the gold toggles and loop it around the neck to look like his reigns, and a carrot in the pocket.

Yes you can.

I love it! It gives me a perfect place to start! Thank you!!!

Trying to convince my family that we should go as Peter, Wendy, and Tink. My DD is 15 and looks like Tink, my wife can pull off Wendy easy, but how uncomfortable would a grown man (6'1" 195lbs) be in green tights all night long? I just ask cuz I'm not familiar with wearing tights.:thumbsup2

You could do cotton leggings instead of tights. I personally don't wear tights often but thats because I have big legs. I would wear them around your house one night to
see if you don't mind tights. If you don't like them try the leggings instead.

I think it is a great family theme!

You can get a cheap pair of green tights in party city to give it a try year round, I decided against tights last year because I figured i'd roast and I hate them to begin with.

We always modify costumes a bit because of the heat. We did the family Peter Pan theme last year and DS was Peter. He just wore kahki green colored shorts and brown sandals. Worked great!

Hehe! How about just wearing green shorts? The shirt can be the same just instead of tights just wear shorts.

Tights + hot weather = sweaty thighs....
Sweaty thighs + tights = chaffing...
You get the picture, I suggest a good tight alternative like cotton leggings or shorts!!
