"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

I'm feeling a little bamboozled by Disney, or maybe I've just been underinformed despite my being subscribed to every disney email and feed i cam get. Free dining sold out so fast I couldn't book it (or even modify my existing reservation to take advantage), then I find out my hotel will be undergoing refurbishment, and now it seems we wont be able to meet villains at MNSSHP? Isn't that the whole point of the Halloween party?

I told myself that if I ever attend MNSSHP, I would not go to the first party because nobody knows exactly what characters will be there. I always want to know beforehand. Yet, here I am, my first MNSSHP on the first party night!!! I wish they'd publish helpful info. The MNSSHP map they made last year was vague. The map only listed the locations of characters without telling you which characters you'd be lining up for!

On another note, Murphy's law in in full effect at my house. Toilets broke, sewing machine broke. Car stopped running! Could use some pixie dust right about now

Thank you both for those responses, I'm glad to know that there will likely still be many more characters to meet. We aren't attending until 10/6 so hopefully some I can use info from September partygoers who post their experiences at the party. Also hoping all toilets, cars etc are running well soon :)

I think I've settled on a Where's Waldo (with a Mickey ear headband attached to my Beanie).

I think the Photo Bomb possibilities abound.

I feel a little silly - got excited to show of my Disney Bound outfits and didn't realize the conversation on here had gone in a completely different direction the past couple days. They seem a little out of place now...

Costume slowly coming along; surprised that doesn't look to bad as this is my first time sewing clothing ... Just to make the tutu skirt. Also have a child's wig that fits me.

Me likey! What kind of paint did you use? Did you make the black top or was that a modified tank top? You could go full Anna costume with this (minus the cape)

At Epcot this summer, I saw someone dressed like Waldo. DH didn't see him, so I started dragging my husband through the crowd trying to help him find Waldo. . It was so random that I wanted to be sure he saw it too!

For those worried/curious about MNSSHP and the characters etc. I've done every MNSSHP for the last 10 Years or more. They are all pretty much the same. Last year brought on the biggest changes with the soirée. This year it appears the parade times are pushed back and so is
hallowishes. But I believe certain things will remain the same.. Take this as you will for character locations for the big ones, it's pretty similar to their daily spots for most...anything could change but here goes...

Mickey will be in town square theatre
Minnie entrance to storybook circus
Pooh and friends by his ride in FL
Alice/mad hatter/queen of hearts tea cups
Buzz light year by space ranger spin
Lotso by space ranger spin
Aladdin & friends adv. land near aloha isle
Donald/daisy entrance to storybook circus
Goofy near barnstormer
7 dwarfs FL wall (right side)
Anna & Elsa fairytale hall
Jack sparrow adv.land stage across from POTC
Jack and Sally Have met up front in town square by city hall BUT I think they now meet in storybook circus near Petes silly sideshow.
Tarzan & friends adv.land verandah
There are more but that's a start

There are dance parties in the horseshoe casino and tomorrowland stage

Thanks ... I used a larger size tshirt and modified it. Paint is just regular acrylic paint with a fabric medium added to it.

I am hoping to get good viewing for the first parade this year. Had trouble at MVMCP last year. What time should I try to start staking out a spot on the route this year? I am from a town where we have fireworks on a saturday and we are allowed to put blankets down at 12:01am Friday but people put down their spots at 5am Thursday and sit with them all day. How crazy early do i need to be for MNSSHP early parade? Thanks in advance!

Just an FYI, WDW doesn't allow blankets to hold spots like Disneyland does.
