I'm zero help on costumes. Just so not creative.

My two BFFs and I are representing villains for the 10K (Evil Queen, Malificent and Ursula) but otherwise, I got nothing!

Did anyone ever have trouble with rundisney verifying their proof of time? Like submitting a time but being placed in the last corral? Just my luck... The race I did decided to take down their race results. I think they are doing some sort of site maintenance or what not. I emailed rundisney screenshots of the old results page but just got a generic email saying that I need to submit PoT via the online link which I did.

So they aren't going to put the results page back up at all? If so maybe try calling runDisney and explain the situation? Also have you tried searching for those race results online? Some places put up race results - Athlinks is one that I can think of. It list an individuals race results for a ways back. Not sure if they would accept it but worth a shot. Hope that made sense.

I'm not sure if they are putting it back up. I emailed them to see what's up. I didn't know about athlinks.com. Thanks. I emailed rundisney again clarifying my situation. Hopefully the screenshots are good enough or I can give them the athlinks page.

COSTUME POST!!

I think I've decided on a Mulan theme for the weekend.

For the 5k, I think I'll go with Mulan's green and blue outfit.

My plan is to get some yellow compression sleeves/socks and a pale green V-neck tank, which I can add some darker green trim to. I already have a cobalt sparkle skirt, so I might just try to add a red waistband to it or something. If DH is happy to wear red then he can be Mushu. If not, I'll buy a small Mushu soft toy and attach it to my outfit somewhere.

For the half, I'm having trouble deciding between a few of Mulan's outfits. My first idea was to wear the final blue dress in a attempt to signify having won my own battle lol!

But then I thought maybe I should wear one of Ping's outfits to signify fighting my battle, then Disneybound the blue dress in the parks with my medal. The battle outfit would probably make more sense if I did that, but the training outfit would be a lot easier to replicate!

What do you guys think?

LOVE the concept! I think for the half you should go with the Ping idea and then Disneybound in the blue dress.

Is it too early for costume talk/help? My plan for the 5k is DL 60th. Wearing the ears I made for the celebration stuff last weekend and am making my shirt. I found a cool design for the front and on the back, I was printed out all the ride posters to iron on to the shirt as well. They're about 1½-2 inches by 3 inches. I printed all of them up through the 80s. My question (opinions needed) is, is it too much to have all the posters on the shirt? There's about 40 of them, but they're small. I'm not tiny so I think there'd be enough room, it'd be on an XL shirt if that helps.

I think if you panel them evenly, it could be VERY cool. Definitely memorable, that's for sure. What's the design on the front going to be?

Got a reply back from runDisney.

"We are not able to make alterations to the submission provided. If there are questions regarding your corral assignment, you are welcome to contact us at that time."

Guess I just have to wait and see what happens. Hoping for the best.

In costumes news, I'm also brainstorming ideas. I could be Cinderella since I already have a light blue top and skirt. Would need to convince DH to be Prince Charming.

UPDATE: Race results are back up for my race! I've been literally checking it every hour and it just went back up. Phew. It would be nice if they told us that they were updating the site. Next up, costume time!

If I can get him to wear grey shorts and a grey t-shirt with black socks and a black running belt, I'll be happy. If he lets me attach a small red 'cape', I'll be thrilled lol!

My parents have said that they're not interested in matching outfits this year, but if Mum wants to wear red or blue/purple, she can fit in as Mushu or Cri-Kee.

I am also planning on Disneybounding as Russell and Boo on a couple of park days.

Love this idea! You should def try to get DH on board. I love couple costumes!

I had the same situation -The race pulled their results. I just used an older race, which had a slower time, but I didn't want to end up in the last corral by not giving them any time. Hope it works out for you.

I actually asked for help with my costume a couple of days ago, but I don't think anyone noticed lol!

Personally I would pick out maybe your favourite poster from each land and make them a bit bigger. People might not notice what they are if they're too small. If it's more for you though and you don't mind if people don't notice, then by all means include them all!

Sorry about your costume post, totally missed it. Went straight to the last page yesterday. I agree w/ Keels about Ping for the race and blue dress for after. You're conquering the race as a warrior and then celebrating afterwards. Plus, I love seeing all the bounding costumes and trying to figure them out. There were so many people bounding for the 24 hour thing and it was so fun seeing all the outfits and how people put them together.

Sorta kicking myself for not signing up for 5k. Probably my 2nd favorite of the medal designs.
But we will earn the other three (plus C2C) so I don't really have much to complain about.

Thank goodness! It would totally suck to go to all that effort to get your POT only to have it rejected by RunDisney!

Part of me is really disappointed that we're not doing the 10k - it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun! (Plus I could have worked in the Mulan theme by going in the matchmaker outfit and being kind of an enemy of myself lol!). I even briefly toyed with the idea of trying to find a Dumbo/10k bib through a travel provider/charity when the training plans first came out.

However, after our 10k on the weekend, another (much bigger lol!) part of me was feeling pretty relieved that we weren't doing it. I was completely exhausted and pretty sore for a few days. Having said that, I went into it with no training whatsoever (haven't run more than 5k since February), and still got my 2nd fastest time, so it's hardly surprising that it took so much out of me!

Me too! Looks like maybe for the 5K and the half. I think it would be a missed opportunity if they DIDN'T tie them in somehow.

Costume update. We are not big into costumes or running with costumes but decided it would be fun to try.
So after an exhaustive search of ideas, DW and I are sticking with Mickey and Minnie as our theme.
Her costume will be amazing, so many options and choices we found a really fun one. My Mickey will be a lot harder to put together, I've got the ears or a sorcerer hat with ears, and the big gloves. May try to put together some red shorts with yellow spots but not much out there on the web to choose from. Any suggestions?
