Not as much as I prefer. I think Bob Costas gets paid by the word for the Olympic coverage.

I used to really like him, but I just don't know anymore. I mean, asking The President why he wasn't going to the Olympics?

It's interesting, these countries like Albania that only have 8 athletes.

Is my memory just not as good as it used to be or is there usually more of a show in the beginning and the athletes are ushered in at the end? I know we have a long way to go at this point, but once all the athletes are in, there likely won't be a lot of room left for a big production. It just seemed short to me.

Has anyone heard if the opening ceremonies were sold out?

I thought that too. But, maybe they want them to be able to watch the ceremonies instead of standing in that long hallway?

I was also surprised by how little of a spectacle there was. I can't speak for Russia, but i went to London and it was expensive and sold out.

Meredith just gave an accidental ad for Google, by telling everyone to Google the cyrillic alphabet. Everyone other company had to pay millions of dollars for their commercials to air during the Olympics. If Microsoft/Bing is a sponsor, they are probably pissed.

I wish they would have let Meredith wear a coat, or at least a shirt that didn't have a huge V. She looked frozen during the beginning comments.

Germany's outfit was so bad that it crossed over into being good for me.

I think they're seating athletes in the stands. The floor will be empty for the production afterwards.

Yeah, you can see a ton of empty seats right behind the tunnel.

How cold do you think those athletes from Bermuda are??
