How is the Candlelight? Is it worth it to watch? I was talking to my dad about a week ago about the trip and he asked me why I was going 8/9 when we'd all be going in 2 weeks and I just laughed. I told him I wanted to get pics and be able to actually be able to walk around the park and be able to get on some rides.I really excited for my sister to see the changes in the parks and her bf to see the parks for the 1st time, but if we get on 15 rides total in the 2 days, honestly, I'll be happy.
Candlelight is wonderful and really gets you into the Christmas spirit. We've done it for about 8 years or so. The music, the lights, choir, reading all taking place in Town Square. For me it doesn't get better than that. We've also have seen it different ways. We used to pay $$$ to get a seat after a nice dinner but it was harder to do and some years they don't offer that. The past few years we've been standing in front of the fire station or Showcase/Mad Hatter area to view.
Your smart going earlier to get photos--it will be a zoo unless rain hits. We always get the "your going again strange look" . If you just don't LOVE DL it may seem like a lot of visits. But hey.....we're Bay Area locals. We're just on the 5 for longer than OCers.

I would be thrilled to BE ABLE to get on 15 rides on two days. We don't come close to that in 4 days....unless you count the Main Street Vehicles. It's really hard with a little mouseketeer.
