Official 2013 MVMCP Information

Does anyone know if there are cookie options for kids with allergies? My daughter is allergic to eggs

check into the website for Babycakes Bakery at Downtown Disney. I was reading it the other day and they bake all their products without the common allergens and I hear you can purchase them throughout the parks and resorts.

I don't know if they will be "giving them free" like the other cookies and hot cocoa but they would be available for purchase.

Here is the website I found:

At least you know there are options.
Have a safe and magical trip.

Going for our first time to MVMCP (debating either 12/6 or 12/8) and not sure where the best place to see parade and fireworks. I understand there is "snow" on Main St during parade so that might be a fun area to watch parade(?), although I'm from Syracuse, NY and we average 145" of snow a year. Who knows, maybe I'll see snow in Florida before I do in New York! Anyway, can you guys throw out suggestions for parade and firework viewing.

I am going to purchase our MVMCP tickets next week. We finally have our dates locked in and we are going to attend on Dec. 3rd and Dec. 5th. We go twice because we have small children and there is no way we could do everything we wanted in one night. We did the party last year for the first time and on our first night we were not prepared. We had a late ADR at BOG and when we got out we went all the way to the front entrance to rent a locker for my niece's dance bag (it was very heavy and no one wanted to carry it around). It had been a long day for us so we didn't stay long.

That night when we got back to the room I got on the Dis and was told about Kenny's site. I did a lot of research and made a plan. The next night we were able to see and do a whole lot more. My kids still didn't make it past 10:00 so that is why we are going to do two nights again this year.

From all the research that I have done for this year I still have a few questions:

1. Am I correct that the only characters who are actually in "Christmas" wear are these: 7 Dwarves, Mickey and Minnie, Winnie the Pooh and Friends, Scrooge McDuck, Big Al and Liverlips?

2. On our 2nd night last year (after my research) I saw a post that said you could see Duffy at Liberty Square Riverboat Dock in Christmas wear. We went straight there after seeing the 7 Dwarves but no one was there. We asked several CM's and they all told us the only place to see Duffy was Epcot. Has anyone seen Duffy at the Christmas Party? We walked by there several times during the evening just to make sure we weren't given incorrect information but we never saw Duffy. He is listed on Kenny's page as being at the party but I couldn't find him.

Thanks for the information. We are looking forward to another great time this year.

our party id december 10 grand daughter 8th birhday we are eating at the castle at 4:10 then heading to stand in lines for the dwarfs. i know its a waste of party time but that is what gd wanted to do.

IIRC, they gave away apple slices in addition to the cookies. Apple juice was also an option if you didn't want hot cocoa. HTH!

We have our tickets for December 10th. We have no children with us. The last time we attended was 10 years ago and loved it. We are making no plans for the next day since we were exhausted.

We have tickets for this night, too. It will be our first time and I a so looking forward to it. It will just be my husband and me.

First trip to Disney. Taking DD who's 3/4 at the time of the trip. Yes or no?

Yes, your DD will love it and the snow on Main Street is pretty cool. We have only been there once around this time and enjoyed the party. Not as good as MNSSHP, but a must do at least once. Have a fun trip.

DW and I have been going since before DD was born she is now 6 and she is going to her 4th party

So excited to be going on Nov. 14th.
Glad I read this thread because it helped me chose a Thursday night party, in hopes of the party being less packed.
:cheer2:

We will are planning to go to MVMCP the first week of December. :cool1: There is a party Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday night while we are there. We have ruled out Friday night due to the crowds probably being higher with locals. Although, it would be fun to do on our last night.

I was hoping to wait until a few days before to buy tickets in order to check the weather forecast. I hate to pay that much for five tickets and then have it be really cold or rainy. However, I don't want to wait that long and then have the parties be sold out. Is it likely that any of these days will sell out? Is there a list of what dates have sold out in the past?

I'd say it's unlikely that parties on the first week of December will sell out. The last party will, and maybe the last one or two before that.

would you really want to attend a party that is sold out?

I understand your question, but at the same time, really how do we know it will be sold out until you actually get there and try to buy a ticket?

Yes we can try to avoid certain nights. (Unfortunately I bought my ticket before I read what nights to avoid) So I'm just hoping for the best experience I can get and going with the flow of being flexible. If I'm lucky enough to get a free cup of hot cocoa I will be happy but if not it's not going to ruin my night.

Just sayin.

not sure if this is allowed but i have a extra ticket for dec 5 please PM if you need one TIA
