Official 2013 Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k Thread!

I've only done the inaugural Tink at DL so I can't wait to run this route! The stadium seems pretty awesome! I really want to see the medal..!

edit: Just went back a couple pages... I am at BWPPI as well! It was simply cheaper than the other places on that street which I thought was weird... I booked it back in early January so maybe the rate went up later?

I'm so excited to be doing the Dumbo Double this year! I've done Tink twice, and have always wanted to do the DL Half, but I'm usually busy Labor Day weekend. When I was the Dumbo, announced, though, I decided to skip my annual Labor Day weekend plans this year and go for it!

I'm curious to see what the training plan is, too, though I doubt I'll modify my current plans. I'm currently mid-training for my first full marathon in June, and after that, I'll roll into a plan I modified from a Goofy plan. And of course, after the Dumbo, I'll jump into my Dopey training. So yeah, all my training runs for the next 8 months are already on the books.

Well, I'll tell ya, flying out of Orlando to LAX was $360 cheaper than flying out of West Palm. I'll gladly drive 2 hours to save the $

Yeah, flying out from Columbia. It's $414 with a hour and a half layover in Chicago. That's United. Delta is like $460 and the return times were awful. It surprised me because I looked at flying from Charlotte and that was more than Columbia. I was super shocked.

Not 100% sure I am going to be able to do DDD anymore. I have been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and will need an operation. Not sure the timetable at this point. I have a meeting at the Mayo Clinic (never been so glad to live in Jacksonville in my life!!) next week and will hopefully know more. Still running but traveling obviously is on hold until we know more:/. At least the race is deferrable and I hadn't bought plane tickets yet.

Not 100% sure I am going to be able to do DDD anymore. I have been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and will need an operation. Not sure the timetable at this point. I have a meeting at the Mayo Clinic (never been so glad to live in Jacksonville in my life!!) next week and will hopefully know more. Still running but traveling obviously is on hold until we know more:/. At least the race is deferrable and I hadn't bought plane tickets yet.

So sorry to hear this! Will keep you in my prayers. My mom went through a similar situation a couple of years ago -- benign brain tumor surrounding her cranial nerves. It was a scary few months leading up to and following her surgery. But for the most part, she has a clean bill of health now!

I am so sorry to hear this! My Aunt just had surgery to remove a tumor (that ended up benign) two weeks ago. Sending positive thoughts your way!

Princess Peeps, I'm still looking for airfare. All this divorce stuff sucks! Although DB's extra job paycheck showed up in my mailbox yesterday afternoon. What should I do with it? Put it in our joint account so I can use it to pay off house hold bills and credit cards that were joint accounts, or give it to him to put in his name only account at a different bank that I have no idea how much money he has? He takes the kids out to eat every time he has them, so I'm thinking $$$ is not that big a problem for him. Thoughts?

I'd put it in the joint account! But you probably should ask your lawyer first:/

I'm still working on airfare too. Hoping it will drop to the $350's before I have to buy. May be coming in Thursday night after all. That way I can hit the ground running on Friday morning
