Help! I was just reading over the race instructions and it says no one can park at WWOS that night. If we have friends take the shuttle from Epcot with us to the start, will they then be able to get back to Epcot for the finish?

There should be spectator shuttles once all the race participants have cleared the Wide World of Sports area.

It said elsewhere on the website that shuttles will take spectators to the finish (Epcot) after the race has started.

Oh! New question...friends who have done Disney races before had their times loaded onto Facebook during the race so friends knew where they were on the course. Is that something we sign up for at the expo?

A couple of days before the race and at the expo, there will be a race tracker or runner tracker thing posted on the runDisney site and set up at the expo. You can get texts, emails or facebook notifications at points through the race. I want to say, 5k, 10K, 15K and finish.

On a down note, I have the flu. Had a really difficult time with my run this past weekend, and just could not go out yesterday. Fortunately DH has today off, so he is watching the kids while I spend most of the day in bed.

Rest up now and recover. Better to have your body healthy than try to get in those last few runs and be sick.

I know the family and friends after party tickets are sold out. How much did a ticket to this party cost? I'm curious about the cost comparison to the TOT after party. Thanks.

The cost depended up on close you were to the party. It was something like $64 by the end of August/beginning of September, $74 from then until October 10 and $84 after October 10.

I messed up the date and bought my wife's ticket on October 11. I kept putting it off and paid for doing so. Of course that also means there was a big rush to buy the tickets this week because it was only 90% sold out when I bought hers.

My wife is pregnant and will probably stay in the room until I'm near the finish. We are staying at the Swan and Dolphin.

Is it possible for someone to walk in the International entrance to EPCOT while the race is going on?

If so, I can tell her to stand near there until she sees me go by, and then head into the park (we have an after party ticket for her). If not, I will need to tell her to head around to the front of the park earlier in the evening. Obviously, going in after I run by will be the easiest thing for her.

The past two years, yes entrance into Epcot through the International Gateway was an option. I don't see a reason to change that.

Any party goers may need to pause and wait for a break in race traffic to cross the pathway as in theory, runners have the right of way.

I have had friends sit on the steps just outside the Boardwalk DVC Villa building give me a hug as I passed and then head to bed.

I also had a friend waiting just outside the quite pool at the Beach Club with a hug and a cool wet washcloth.

do they check where you're staying when you get on the buses to the expo / race? I am staying at the Dolphin but planning to go to the Beach Club for the bus to the race and somewhere else (not sure which host resort, probably all star) for a bus to the expo, will they give me a problem?
