I tell people that my time was brutal (it was) and that the race was brutal (it was) and blame it on my stress fracture rehab, weight gain, and lack of training (all true).
I finished in 3:33, which was a 44 min anti-P. I walked most of the race, with 1 min running intervals tossed in here and there. But, I did the race with friends and had a BLAST of a weekend, and I got the medal, and that's all that counts right?

The three of us want to do it next year too.
I also figure it's because I was just physically worn out from the half and then all the park touring for 3 days after. I'm itching to get back out and run though before I get too used to this down time!
wearing a tutu. While they were stuck in the cold and snow, dressed like Nanuk of the North!!

I told her it was my first race ever and left it at that.
(heck I'm a winner to me, right???) and then I continue about how this is wasn't your typical race.
