Just wanted to give an update for those who are anxiously waiting, like me...I just spoke to someone at TrackShack (evidently this is the race organizer Disney uses as I was transferred to them after calling Disney). I was told that registration would open today, but that it wouldn't be until noon, and could even be as late as 5. Hope that helps--at least we know it is opening today!

While we're all anxiously awaiting registration to open, I thought I would take the opportunity to post my first mesage here! I'm planning to register today for the Princess Half...it will be my first ever half marathon...and this seems to be a great place for information and extra motivation! My boyfriend has completed the Disney World half as well as the Disneyland half and we're on our way back to California in September so he can do the Disneyland half again to fullfill the Coast to Coast Challenge requirement and get the bonus medal. Disney has the most beautiful medals! I'm still trying to decide if we should register as a two person team for the Princess or if I should do my first race on my own...with him in the cheering section of course! He said he's on board either way and is leaving it completely up to me, but I can't decide!! Anyone have any thoughts either way?

You're very welcome! I'm sure some don't understand why I'm so impatient, but for me, registering seals the deal and helps get me more motivated--which I really need right now!

That's a great idea! Because I'm also doing the Wine & Dine half, I was looking for ways to justify participating in the Princess, and I think you just talked me into it.

Thanks for the update. I am running with my sister-in-law and we are so excited to be registering for our first 1/2 marathon.

Oh boy, I have been waiting and waiting for this. Now I have butterflies in my stomach. Excited and scared. I need my sister to commit. I have NEVER been to Disney. I saw the Host Hotels, but have NO idea where to stay. This will be an adventure.
