Official 2011 MNSSHP Party Planning Thread ..BOO to You and You..Happy Halloween!

We did the haunted carriage pic on the 20th and waited about 20 minutes, but the line was entertaining with costumed guests coming and going through the haunted mansion. We took the hitch hiker photo about 11:45 and there was no line, in fact we almost missed the spot as we walked passed.

With all the advice to shop early for specialty merchandise, I was wondering, do the stores still do package delivery to the WDW resorts? Or is that only during regular park hours?

Has everyone started walking yet to get ready? I started a couple weeks ago on my step machine. By next month I hope to be well conditioned and ready to handle the 8+ miles a day!

I have never walked to get ready for a trip to Disney. I've honestly never really understood why people did it unless they were really really out of shape but even then. I don't know, it's just a confusing "prep" to me.

Funny how it's like finding a needle in a haystack when you try to go back and find a post!!!

I know it's been asked and answered, but DS now thinks we should get a pic with Malificent and maybe one or two other villians...so, at the Villians Mix and Mingle, what locations do the villians go to right after the show? I know it is right out front of the castle, but I'd like to be in the correct area to be sure to get at least one shot! TIA!!!

We are going to WDW the first week in Oct and still waffling between Sunday and Thursday parties. We usually go on Tuesday nights but no Tues party that week. The weather looks like there is a chance of rain all week so that isn't helping make our decision. We're leaning toward Thursday so we can attend MGM EMH Sunday night (it will always be MGM to me!) but we drive home Friday so that will make a late night before checkout. Looking for your thoughts please.

We're going on Sunday hoping for less or no rain, per the current forecast, and hoping for lesser attendance due to no Tuesday party perhaps pushing more people to go to Thursday's party. We also wanted to do the party early in our week at WDW and thereby even out the later nights over the week. That stated, I still haven't purchased tickets as I want to leave it for a few more days to check the forecast closer to mid-late week.

Villains: Maleficient, Dr. Facilier, the Snow Queen, Frollo, Captain Hook, Cruella, and the Queen of Hearts.

We were first in line for Maleficent last year. We're going for Queen of Hearts and Cruella this year.

Hi everyone. I apologize if I have overlooked something. I was hoping someone could post a very consice list of photopass opportunities and their locations. I've seen this info in a few places but not consolidated. If you could please note if it is a magic shot that would be helpful. Also do they take the magic shots or any photopass shots prior to 7? Which ones? Finally where do the various villains meet for the meet and greet. Since my husband and I are Snow White and The Prince we HAVE to meet the Evil Queen. Also I know someone mentioned The Hag, does she have a set location and times? This would be so helpful. Thank you all so much!

I was just wondering, if your in the park the same day as mnsshp and you dont have the extra ticket do you have to vacate the park? I was just curious how they get all the guests out of the park in time for the festivities.

Yes. Party guests have wristbands. So CMs start politely escorting people without wristbands out of the park. It's done very quietly and efficiently. Also, CMs running attractions and food stands check wristbands.

It's probably possible to evade this if someone tried hard and laid low during the early part of the party. But they really are very efficient about it.

He rode the second parade on Sept. 20th. and was AWESOME. He will not ride if the street is wet.
