I booked All Star Music Sept 18-27!!!! No problem extending offer, then he cancelled my room only reservation for that time period.

YEA!!!! We're at the POP from 9/20--9/28!

YES, they will let you have FD beyond the 20th if you check in by then.
We did NOT have to book a preferred room (we don't like to be by the pools).

She did say that the code we (I) were/was using "AYG" was not the correct one ("She laughed kindly and said that's from some boards, isn't it--lots of people are calling with that one, but it's not the one I am supposed to use.) But it wasn't a problem.
She did push the Deluxe Dining (we did not get that).

She didn't say if it is the same code for THURSDAY'S group, but I think if you call on Thurs. it won't be a problem at all.

Oh, my Husband wants to know how much difference it'd be to book a MOD instead. I told him it'd be 63 plus tax a night. For 8 nights that's almost twice as much. Am I wrong on this? He'd rather bump up but I'm happy at the POP since we don't plan to be in the rooms much.

FWIW, I didn't even need the code. He just verified my Disney Visa Card number with the first 6 digits.

I was on hold for 53 minutes and saved about $1,000. You gotta love free dining. We are staying at the French Quarter. I left it as is. We were thinking to go to Wilderness Lodge for the money we saved but thought we could use the extra money this year for maybe another vacation locally in our state.

Hope everyone else saves as much as we did. Can't wait for our trip!!!

At least I'm clearing out all old email - soom email will be empty, but I'd rather have free dining booked and old email still to ignore.

I couldn't get free dining on my mom's package due to the fact that I am the Disney Visa Card holder and not on the reservation. I asked if I should call back on the 10th and he acted like I was insane. Do they pretend like it doesn't open to the general public? Has it ever not opened to the general public?

Oh how disappointing to wait and not get what you want. Why aren't you on the reservation?
I finally got through and we're paying quite a bit more for the room, but upgraded to Savannah View and DH had "approved" our upgrade if we needed it for free dining. We're not exactly break even on the higher room price for free dining (vs. room only discount we had), but we're hoping they'll have "bounce-back with free dining" for 09 that we can book while there. It is currently worth quite a few $$ to not have to be on hold over 90 minutes again!

I was wondering since I do not currently have a disney visa, if I called with the code would they proceed assuming I know what I am talking about, or do they ask for your card information? Also do you have to be paying with your disney visa to get the free dining?

Or should I just wait till thursday to get the deal open to everyone?

I have deluxe dining reserved already. I saw a code on the last page that said CMP for deluxe dining - is this correct?

My BF went last year and got bounceback for ASSports, We wanted to take my mom and that would make 6 people, so we have 4 people on his ressie including me and I booked a seperate ressie for my mom and son and paid for dining for them.

My price dropped from $3,279.30 to $2,899.40 = $380 savings ...or $75.98 per night
