Offical free dining watch 2008

The DIS is always among the first to announce any discounts. They confirm it before posting. Most CM's don't know until that day what the discounts are going to be.

I am not giving up hope. I will keep waiting and watching.
I just hate to read that a CM said it would not happen. I like reading the good/yes rumors. :thumbsup2

:laughing: I know . . . me too. ::yes::

Like Dory says, "Just keep swimming...":fish:

Hate to deliver more bad news... but I spoke with a CM today, and she also said that FD wasn't going to be offered this year. She was aware it was offered in the past, and also was familiar with the bounceback promotion...

She was reluctant to tell me the news, but she seemed fairly certain.

I know this might be bad news for many, but just remember... it was just a CM. Although, I would trust her more than the other rumors we've heard. :confused3

Maybe CM's are being given some kind of incentive to sell the dining plan in the hopes that some guests will forget to make the switch over when FD is offered. I'll bet most people who call are not DIS savvy.

The CMs said the same thing last year before FD was announced.

Hi all,

I just read that Universal Studios has a free dining promotion (at select restaurants) August 17 through October 9. Not intending to stir the pot, but that's part of our planned 2 weeks at Disney! Hmmm.....may just have to move one (or both) of those weeks to somewhere else.....maybe a week at Universal and a week at the beach!

Here's hoping, still for Disney in August!

Well, to brighten everyones day. It was leaked to me. By a Disney cm. That free dining would happen again. They said on April 10th. Then, I found out. The same date was posted on a reliable internet source. Further stating, that Disney Visa holders would be able to book April 7th. General public. April 10th. So, do not worry, and don't fret. It will happen. Only a few more days until booking time for all of you!!:yay: :grouphug: :yay:

What?? Are you serious!! Let me go look. I was playing with the idea of Universal. Hmmm

Hi guys! I am new to this site, but my mother is a travel agent and is calling Disney today to find out about this. She isnt sure if they will tell her or not, but she is trying. My husband, daughter and I are going September 19-24 and are hoping to get this. I will let everyone know as soon as she finds something out!

Hmmmm........if this is true, maybe that will encourage Disney to continue offering it. Universal may steal some of Disney's guests if Disney doesn't offer the same free dining incentive.

Just keep in mind with the Universal offer free dining is only offered to the first two people in the room. Also you need to purchase the 2 park unlimited tickets. The other people have to purchase the dining plan.

On some dates free dining is more expensive than regular pricing.

Sadly you dont have the dates!?? :( Hoping for it to start 8/23 This is killing me lol

Like sandybobandy said, take it for what it's worth. Some CMs say, "Yes, free dining is coming," while others say, "Nope, not this year." I tend to rely on the rumors that come from the TAs who post on this board, and the *************'s website (they broke the news first last year). I'm just a nobody with an opinion, but I'm still willing to bet that we'll all see free dining next week, so don't despair, hang in there!:cheer2:

Is there any way for me to find out what website was "bleeped" in that message? I keep reading several times a day on this site and I have seen references to different sites, but I don't know which ones. I am only aware of 1 other trustworthy site, but I think their info rolls out after things are posted here. I tried searching the net--- do you know how many Disney related sites there are? There is a needle in a haystack for you! Thanks to anyone that helps me out!!!:worship:

try mousemiser.com
Its on the home page, scroll down, way down.

I must say, I have never heard of this site before, someone just directed me to it the other day, so I dont know if they are a very 'reliable' source of info.

Hope its ok to state the the name of the site, if not, please let me know and I will delete the post.

I think that may be the Touring Plan site (some call it UG)... I know they were the first to break the news last year and they have a rumor for this year!

just google unoffical guide and/or touring plans, that should give you the info. From my understanding if you try to post the name with spaces or use dotcom to get around the filters it's considered an infraction and you could end up suspended.
