Someone just reported on the theme park board the rumored dates of free dining......

Rumor: Free dining to be offered starting April 10
Don't quote us on this, but we've heard from multiple sources inside and outside Disney that Disney's "free dining" offer will return on April 10, 2008. We're not sure which travel dates will be included, but we'll post more information as soon as we hear

So if I already have reservations for my room I can't get the free dining without changing them? I can't change my dates, my principal approved me being off that week!!!!!!!!! What can I do to get the free dining? HELP, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! Is free dining offered at all the resorts or just at the moderate & value resorts?

If I wasn't trying to lose weight for my September trip, I would so be in the kitchen right now digging for chips & guzzling a 2 liter of Mtn Dew or Sunkist (my drinks of choice) but I'll try to fight the urge (please say a prayer for me or the chips ).

Through the 2007 free DDP period, for both the UK and USA, it was all resorts, however, when the UK scheduled their free dining for August/September 2008 they HAD to book Moderates and up, no Values!

Those that were able to bounceback (US, not UK I mean) for free dining 2008 were able to book Values, just not UK residents.

Until/if the free DDP is actually announced none of us know for sure what they will allow. I hope Values are still included, as my siter and her family will book if so!

Those of us that did bounceback free DDP for 2008 were given the date range of 8/30 - 9/27 to choose from.

Hang in there... it won't be long until we all know! Stay out of the snacks... well how about only in moderation!

I have a room only ressie for Aug. 10-17 with a AAA discount. We have less than $200 left to pay on it. IF we can get free dining I REALLY hope they can modify that ressie somehow and apply my payments to the new one. Otherwise we will have about $1400 in limbo and that will NOT make me happy.

I just booked 4 nights @ Beach Club for Aug. and was wondering if the discount code you used is applicable for my recent booking? Are you able to share the code? Just thought it wouldn't hurt to ask? Thanks in advance.

I would be delighted to if it were allowed.

But unfortunatley, it's a PIN code specific to my name and address.

Are you a CAA/AAA member? Their discounts range from 10-20% and are open to anyone.

I only see April 10th too. Am I missing something? We will be checking in Aug 19th and would love, love, love free dining!!

I'm just so worried about not knowing when the codes come out!!!!!! I've gotten my dh all excited about possibly getting the free dining, which would help (he's 6'2 & over 250lbs, I like 'em with meat on their bones). He wants free dining so he can splurge a little more at meals, like getting dessert & appetizers (I'm sure those are not included, so we would pick up the tab for those) He said he was going to feel like he was on a diet while we were on vacation because I've told him it's just too expensive to eat big meals while we're there.......Here's hopping I get the FDP!!!!!!

While I would love to get the free dining I am hoping that it will include the value resorts. We are staying at movies, we picked it for price and theming. I just didn't see any moderate resorts that the kids would like as much as the movies. So here's hoping!! Can't wait until the announcement!

Hi. Yes the value resorts have been included and so have the cabins in FW. I stayed in the cabins during free dining in 2006. very fun!

Why does everyone think that the beginning of August is too early to start free dining? Remember in 2006 it started on August 13... I just hope it will be the same even though in 2007 it started later in aug. The beginning of aug is the only time I can go. So i'm hoping for that.

The speculation comes from the fact that UK Bounceback promotion had to book a moderate or above. They were not allowed to book any of the values.

It seems like last year alot of the people in the values were bumped up to villas to accomodate the overload so I heard that is why they are going to do without the values so they don't have the same problem again.
who knows until it is released, just alot of guessing till then.
