Thinking about Garden Grill breakfast. We've never been there before. Any thoughts on GG?

We love GG breakfast, and I think it's a great value. My daughter is 13.5 and not interested in character meals any more and she still loves it. We eat so much steak when we go. They definitely lose money on us!

Hi everyone! I'm a little late to the party and haven't been on DB in years. We are booked for POP from August 23rd to the 30th. This is the 3rd trip we've done late in August.

I wasn't excited when we went a couple of years ago but I'm getting excited for this trip. Looking forward to hearing everyone's plans.

Dining day today for us .. everything was available except space 220 lounge for 4 people even out to day 10. But overall much easier than years past.

With the news that Stormalong bay reopened, I decided to check to see if there were any open days at Beach Club and I managed to snag a 1 bedroom last night. I decided to put in a waitlist for a studio just to see if it would come through and I could save some points. Got the heart attack inducing cancellation notice at 8:35 this morning that I now have a studio at BC for Aug 27! So, my updated dates:

8/27 BC and 8/28-9/4 SSR

Bumped us to an earlier flight so now we can enjoy the free water park perk. Never been to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon before. I was thinking about TL but see that BB is closer to Movies (which is where we are spending our first night before moving over to Pop) so I may want to just do that. Anybody really love one over the other?

We've only done TL but are going to try BB this trip. TL was fun and my kids liked it. I'm interested to hear what others say, who've been to both.

My kids love the wave pool at TL. We also have not done BB, but will be doing both water parks on this trip so we can do a comparison. We'll use the free water park day at BB and then use the water park tickets we have at TL. With it being so hot, we're doing a lot of water time!

Super excited for both the parade and test track news! Those will be our goals early week so we can potentially repeat later.

We like both water parks and it's been years since BB has been open in August. But we prefer BB... way more slides...only thing we like better at typhoon is the wave pool.

Just purchased MNSHHP tickets for me and one of my sons! This is going to make the trip interesting! We had decided to not go but he didn't know that part (poor middle child! LOL!). It was one of those he still really wanted to go because he doesn't know when he will be back again, so he would regret NOT going more than going. We already have HS planned for that day with the big group!

How'd you make out? I make mine tomorrow but I'm only getting a few. We got the free QS deal so we plan on mostly sticking with that. Of course we say that now but once we get down there, stories tend to change and then I'm scrambling for dining reservations.

Well we did great but still waiting on one thing - the MK Dessert Party on the 31st (our big ending to the trip). I can tell they are working on getting it out there today so hopefully soon. Here is the rest of our list:

A dessert party sounds fun. I always consider adding one but then remember that I'm the only one in my family that would really enjoy the desserts. My picky eaters wouldn't get that much out of it. But maybe the reserved fireworks spot would make it worth it anyway. Now I'm starting to consider it again.

On your list, we always talk about doing one of the Mexican restaurants. I've booked them multiple times over the years but they always end up getting canceled.

We only booked 3 ADRs for this trip since we have free QS. We booked Via Napoli, Tony's for a late dinner, and Crystal Palace (late breakfast). My kids don't like meeting characters anymore. Teenagers are way too cool for that apparently. But we told them if they want to do CP, we are getting character pictures! Luckily my son loves himself a breakfast buffet so he'll deal with having to get his picture taken.

My ADR day was this past Saturday and even with some app issues - I was able to get everything we wanted at the times we desired. We have the TS dining plan because we like the AC break a TS meal provides when we go in August. We won't use all of these and will need to narrow it down, but I got:
