Odds of SSR adding sleeper chair in 1BR?

I'm sure this is wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be cool if SSR had the sleeper chairs for a fifth guest in the 1BR's? Could a change like this ever happen, or would it somehow violate contracts/rules/codes? (Sometimes I feel a little bad making a kid sleep in a sleeping bag in such a snazzy place.)

Interesting thought, although I have to wonder how tight it would be with a sleep chair and sofa bed pulled out!

I've read that for earlier DVC resorts it probably will not be added because of need to be in compliance with fire codes & occupancy limits that are noted from when resort(s) had first been planned. slightly OT and off-site : iirc, think this was posted by Dis Daydreamer couple days ago (hopefully Rob's out there & can confirm or tell me I'm imagining things :-) , sleeper chair has recently been added at VB.

It seems like there is little room to add a sleeper chair. The furniture is so big at SSR already. The idea is great though and we would love it just so DSs can each have their own bed--that is if we can ever get them out of our king bed!:lmao:

They would have to change the official description with the State of FL and other states the resort is registered with to change the number of sleeping spaces.

That's awesome about VB!

I've also always wondered why they didn't make the bench by the table wide enough to sleep a child. Even another 10 inches or so would do it.

Other posters are right, though: the SSR furniture really is huge. Pretty, though!

At BWV there are a limited number of studios with a day bed-bench sort of thing to sleep a young child ( believe they are referred to as 'studio plus' iirc but it is only noted as a request, not guaranteed ).
