Oddest gift exchanged in your family?

Okay---WHAT is up with the bacon?

Are we talking a pack of oscar meyer from the grocery store, or like some fancified cured bacon gourmet thing?

And what is your DS's response?

OMG!!

Every year my mom gets someone an OMG gift!! This year it was a psychedelic purse, the buckle clasp says Fet*ish (I went to ebay its a hip hop star Eve, with a whole line of clothes, shoes, purses with "that" name! we still LOL - DIL asked if she could put it in her works white elephant exchange!! LOL)

We got light up scissors, because we cut in the dark so often, I guess!

This thread reminds me of when I was a teenager and every year my dad, with a great big smile on his face would give my mum a pair of 'killer' stilettos. They were usually bright red, orange or gold and not the sort of thing my conservative mum would ever consider wearing. The kids in the family thought it was very funny.

A fun memory of my dear dad who is no longer with us.

My uncle gave me a pair of tacky socks. One year he gave me a rapping santa. I am 100% sure he is not doing it as a joke. He thinks these are actually good gifts. But see the problem is, its obvious there was no thought put into the gifts they have given me. So trully i have received nothing.

It's the Oscar Meyer pre-cooked bacon. It's not refrigerated until after you open it. One time DS said he liked bacon....

He always says thanks - he's sort of used to the odd gifts.
