Odd? Suite upgrade available at HRH, not RPR

We just decided to do a quick trip Nov. 28 - Dec. 3 since we'll already be in Florida, and I wanted to do it cheap and just stay at RPR. Oddly, the King Suites at RPR were all sold out. I asked if they just weren't available in the system yet, and the reservationist said no. Sure enough, a suite upgrade was available at the HRH for my dates. Does anyone else find that odd? Should I call the RPR directly? The reservationist said that something might open up, but I would only be guaranteed a garden view, and I'm pretty sure we're done with the standard rooms at RPR after living the suite life.

I'd take the HRH and call RPR....worst they can say on the phone is nothing available!

I know they always seem to be pushing the RPR suites with Florida discounts. It is much rarer to see the HRH suites on the Fl resident discount page. Maybe that's why they're all sold out?

That can't be right. That is value season. Call RPR.

Well, I did call the RPR directly. It would seem that the date that's a problem is Saturday, December 1. That's the only day that the suites are sold out. Wonder what's up that night?
