Hello all!! I love this board....so much info spread around!! I have a question....I am FINALLY attending MNSSHP this year with my SIL and DN. We have been discussing the weather and neither are too sure what it is like. ANy help would be great. Any tips on where to sit to watch the parade? I am so excited to dress as Snow White...wanted to be her "when I grew up"...and now I can. Do adults wear costumes also?

Thanks for the info!! Did I mention I love this board??

DH and I have been in October a few times and we LOVE that time of year. It is still warm enough to wear shorts and go to the waterparks, but not SO hot that you feel like you are going to melt.

This will be MY first year going to MNSSHP and DH's second - he says that everyone was wearing a costume when he was there, adults included. So I already purchased a Minnie costume for my self to wear :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes I got in at www.disneydeals.com for only $30. We are still deciding what DH and DS are going to dress as!

I say be Snow White and be the best Snow White you can be ;)

October is a wonderful time of year to visit WDW. There is alway the chance of a rain shower so you may want to pack a rain poncho. Evenings can be cool so a sweatshirt, light jacket or sweater would be a good idea. I always take a light sweater to dinner because some of the restaurants can be chilly.

October is a great time. You can generally wear shorts, but if you'll be out later in the evening (We had an 18 month old so no late nights for us), you'll want a light jacket or sweater some nights. Plus there's always a chance of a passing afternoon shower.

Adults do dress up, so enjoy!

Thanks for the info!! I am so excited to go!! Maybe we will see each other there!

Thanks again!! ::MickeyMo

Be sure and take insect repellant. Misquitos were bad last time we went. It was nice out - kindof cool, jeans weather. It's really hard to predict the weather here in FL!!!! We didn't dress up, but did wear halloween t-shirts. There were a lot of adults wearing costumes. Some of them were really funny! Just make sure it's a comfortable costume!

I agree about mosquito repellant, especially if you are at resort near any kind of lake or creek. I was at POFQ a couple of years ago. The rooms near the river were the worst.

Someone reported finding small purse or fanny pack size cans of repellant at the WalMart check outs. I'm picking mine up now. My trip is not until October, but by then, the summer stuff will be gone, replaced by "Back to School" items.
