October Wait List Thread

Oh well...it doesn't seem my waitlist will come through for the 25th at VWL...that's ok I am doing the happy dance that our trip is a mere 4 weeks away it can't come soon enough...this family SO needs a vacation.

I just checked the website and the day I needed (10/26) came through for a studio at SSR. So, DS and I will be there from 10/24-10/28. Just for laughs, I asked to be put on the waitlist for a studio for BCV or VWL for the entire stay.

If either come through, then I'm gonna play the lottery because the chances of winning that would be easier.

I am very excited to stay at SSR. Friends of ours stayed there in a 2br when it first opened. On our last trip, we ate dinner at the Turf Club and then walked back to OKW. That was a very pleasant stroll.

I have super cheap ding flights with SWA and used up some credits that were going to expire. The only "problem" now is that I am afraid that my daughter's soccer championship and possibly awards ceremony might be the day that I am scheduled to flight back home. (she's a high school senior). If that happens, (and that's a nice problem to have) then I'll just cancel and rebook my return flight back on the first flight of the day instead of the last one. With creative accounting and using a free flight credit, it's doable but not the bargain I thought I had. Somehow, it will all work out.

I’m so excited…my waitlist came through! We were going to have to move from OKW to YC, but our waitlist came through for BCV and now we have a BCV/YC! We joined DVC in August after I already had a stay booked at BCV so I had to cancel that and my guide put a reservation on hold for me for BCV/YC. When I called to confirm the reservations they only had the YC hold, so we booked OKW and got on the waitlist. I thought I was only on the 31 day waitlist so I checked Monday and it hadn’t come through. I went online today to book ME and saw that they changed my resort yesterday! This will be so much easier and we really wanted to stay at the BCV. Good luck to everyone still waiting there is hope!

Just canceled a 1 bd at SSR that was to have been canc. mos ago! For the 25th hope one of you guys grab it.

We are on a wait list for either a studio or a 1 bedroom for October 21-27. I'm not holding my breath, but hope something opens up - ANYWHERE! My husband surprised me for my birthday and had this all planned, so it would be disappointing to him if we were stuck somewhere outside the park. I'm just happy he planned a little getaway for us, and without the kids mind you! Not too shabby!
