October, anyone?

Mama Melrose is a good place to eat!! I got some kind of pasta with cream sauce and chicken and it was very good!! I have never done the dinner package, mainly because I lived there for a year and 1/2 and could see it whenever and it's not one of my fav shows to begin with. We've always just waited in the line (1/2 hr before the show begins)

IMO, Hollywood and Vine is the WORST WDW restaurant we've ever been too--the food was horrible. So bad that we left and went back to WL and ate at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

I looked up the menu for Hollywood and Vine and it just didn't look like anything I'd be interested in, thanks for the info! I'm not real big on shows but I've heard it is one you have to see (atleast once). Definitely looking forward to Mama Melrose's. My favorite restaurant is the 50's Prime Time Cafe for the food and theme, and for a quick meal Season's at the Land Pavillion has really good food.
This year though I'm going to try and make it to a lot more shows and try a few new places to eat as well. Less than 90 days to go!

My friend and I are eating at 50s on 10/23 :)

I'll be there from Oct 4-14 --- Traveling SOLO - going to hit all the parks but want to spend time at eh Wine and Food Fest at EPCOT.

I'll be traveling from Boston - staying off site.

I'm single 44 yr old male - huge Disney nut (this'll be my third trip in just under 2 years)

If anyone is looking to hang out - let me know. Would be great to hang out with other Disney fans!!

Thanks Gene

Booked POR today for Oct 10- Oct 15... been debating the decision all day long. My last solo trip in May was kind of a disaster, I ended up with a bad cold and I just ended up hating life by the end of my trip. So I'm doing something different getting out of POP and trying a new resort. I was going to book POFQ but it wasn't available and now seeing pics of the rooms at POR I'm so afraid that it's really not my style. Way too fussy, prim and proper!

So should I trust my gut and pick a different resort? I like the look of Coronado Springs but has the fact that it's a convention resort been a problem for anyone?

Oh and if anyone wants to set up a meet for while I'm there I'd be up for it. A stop in for a drink at La Cava or even a ride or two sounds fun!

going to miss u will get in on the 18th :(

shame too, but I have to make it all the way across the Atlantic and then some...start back at work on the 20th. Need to recover on the 19th!!!

Enjoying it on here nonetheless:grouphug:

Goin' 9/30-10/5. Running the W&D Half. Not a fan of solo trips, but my cousin (aka The Jerk Store) pulled out, and I already paid for everything.

But on the bright side, 36 days! :dancer:

I'll be there from the 23rd through the 31st!

where are you staying... a bunch of Adult Diser are doing MNSSHP On the 22nd and a dinner meet before that at Kona... then a another MNSSHP on the 26th of mixed and matched adult Diser ( the same Diser on the 26th are hitting US/HP also)... if youre interested...

Just booked my flight for October 24th. I will be staying at the World (Pop Century more than likely) until the 30th! Planning on spending the entire day at Universal on the 27th for Both parks and Halloween Horror Nights (1st time eeeeever!). Will probably do MNSHHP on the 26th and the 29th... if the tickets are still available when I order later this week, of course! So excited!

Dumb question, but is the long wait worth it, I've heard lots of things about the show but again I have never seen it (don't want to look at youtube and spoil it either)?

I certainly think it is worth a wait, but in my experience if you are solo, you can walk in 30 minutes ahead and get a good seat. The ushers will want you to go left to the end, but you can go right and find one seat pretty much anywhere. I've done the dinner package also when with others, but have always gotten a better seat at the same or less entry time.

Yeah I'm assuming the long wait and hard time finding seats is for families and larger groups, 1 or 2 people probably have no problem finding a good seat

My mom, cousins, aunt and I will be going 10/1 - 10/4. Me and mom, and my one cuz and aunt are all running the Half Relay

We are staying at OKW

I just did the solo trip in March for the 1st time. Definitely try to make friends with the bartenders. :thumbsup2
