i have never been to Disney in October what are the chnaces of rain? Can anyone advise whether we would be better of with a 12 or 2.30 ceremony time? we have only gone in June where it seems to rain everyday at 3pm on the dot!!
also if it does rain when do we get told our ceremony will be moved indoors (were getting married at SPB) I would hate for it to rain for a little in the morning but our wedding to be moved indoors anyway!
Thanks

We went in September last year for 3 weeks (which is supposed to be worse for rain) and we only had 2 rain showers, one at about 3 ish and the other at about 5pm which was the full works with thunder and lightning and it lasted over an hour!

We're going for a 10am slot but out of your 2 I would go for the earlier time, although it depends on what you want to do afterwards really.

We were there October 6-10, 2010 and lucked out with not a drop of rain the entire time. At the time they were predicting an active hurricane season so I was a bit worried about rain in Orlando from the fringes of any storms further out.

For our vow renewal, I wanted an afternoon slot and with Memories, we had the choice of 1 p.m. or 3 p.m. We took the 1 p.m. because I had heard about the mid-afternoon showers.

Good luck!:goodvibes

I second the advice to check wunderground. Amazing site! I think you will be pleasantly surprised about what you will find in October. Our wedding week is only predicted to have a 6% chance of a rain day!
I have heard many, MANY great things about Disney in October.

When is your wedding date, fellow October 2012 bride??

Hopefully October 18th at SPB :rotfl:
I hate the fact that you can only book Escape wedding 8 months out!!Argh i so desperately want to plan in more detail but I feel like i cant!

Im so glad october seems to be a good month wedding wise :woohoo: October 2012 is literally the only month in the next 2 years we could do :headache:

October is usually a great month here. Last October was beautiful, it only rained a couple days out of the month. It's not as hot and humid as the summer months. BUT, it's a little different every year. Oct. 2009 was a lot more hot and humid than Oct. 2010, but we still had less rain than in the summer. I would also suggest doing the earlier ceremony to decrease your chances of getting rained on.

I'm pretty sure June is their rainiest month that's why you had rain when you went down then. i remember we went once in June and it rained everyday except for the day we were leaving.

I've been to Disney twice in October, and both times it barely rained at all. Maybe once in the five days I was there, and then only a light rain shower. The weather is gorgeous during that time of year, and the temperature was really nice when I was there. Nice and warm but not too hot.

Hopefully October 18th at SPB :rotfl:

I couldn't imagine waiting that long to actually plan when you already have disney brain! I have to wait another 2 months before I can hold my date, even THAT is too long for me! We just have a long time to be excited, I guess lol... I want to send out my save the date's NOW, but I can't. AHHHH! In the meantime, we troll the boards and live vicariously through others. popcorn::
