:lmao: Sorry, I had to laugh!!!

I know some of you are preparing to leave to go for your pre-cruise trips to WDW, so just a few housekeeping notes. Have a great time and have a taste of something at the Food & Wine Festival for me. Don’t forget your passports, birth certificates, green wristbands, or other essentials. Print out a copy of “The List” and take it with you. If you need to find someone, it will be a little easier if you have a list. For the first timers, the decorative Fish outside your stateroom door is your mailbox and is for anyone to use. If your stateroom number is not on the list, or if you are thinking of upgrading at the port, make sure I get your new room number. It would be sad if someone else got your surprise! For those who are interested, the Dis-Meet will be at :goofy: Goofy’s Galley, formerly Scoops, at 3pm before the life boat drill. For those who are staying at or near the Radisson on Friday night, we will be gathering at the pool near the bar around 8pm. If you are not staying at the Radisson and would like to join us, just park out front and walk through the lobby out to the pool. You can’t miss it! If you think of anything else, let us know!!! See you all soon!

Tammy - More prayers sent your way. I have been through very serious health problems within my family as well and I know how much prayers and support can help. Keep the faith and think positive (as much as possible). :grouphug:
Congrats!!! You got #700 and didn't even notice, huh??!!

The last seven days will be while on the Magic :cloud9:
Have a great trip and see you on the 7th!

We leave for the airport in 7 1/2 hours. I hope to get at least 5 hours of sleep. Just a little more packing before I can go to bed. Oh yeah I can't forget to print out The List. Surprising our sons with the cruise, one of them heard me saying something about phones on the boat last night. The surprised look on his face might mean that the secret is out, but he hasn't asked about it so we might be alright. Okay I'm tired and I'm babbling. We really are excited. See you all at Goofy's Galley at 3 p.m. on the 7th

I'm so jealous some of yall are leaving already. I'm up at 645am and about to leave for work. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: I so wish I was leaving for the airport.

For those of you leaving have a safe trip down and we'll see ya on the 7th!!

Thank you one and all for the 'insight' on my few questions... :sunny:
More questions as promised...

Insights on these 'upgrades'? Moving rooms... perks here and there... How to?? Does anyone know if this is a 'full' ship? What kind of chances are there for these upgrades? What are the 'key words' to use? Do I do it at the dock? Once onboard?

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc <-- anxiously awaiting answers, the cruise and meeting everyone!

Welcome Tamamom,

Being a Longhorn, I won't tease you about mixing up the UT's...even though you were fully prepared to route against us ! :cheer2: In my younger days I used to feel similarly to you, my favorite team on game day was the Horns or whoever was playing the Aggies. Since I was forced to leave Texas (darn that ball and chain) I'm a bit homesick and tend to route for any Texas team that is playing. The Longhorns are also playing on the 7th vs. Oklahoma.
Tora

Being an Aggie, I of course got the UT part wrong...my college football loving DH would be so embarrased  We of course will be trying to watch the Oklahoma and UT game. It should be great! Look forward to meeting everyone.

As far as I know you can ask at the port when you check-in for upgrades. It will cost you through but it's cheaper then if you would have done it before. And from what I've read it can be hard to upgrade at the port. I checked out our cruise on dcl website and almost every category has rooms available so I'm guessing it isn't sold out.

Something cool to do is to bring either pillowcases or a signature mat (pic frame with the wide mat around it) on board. You can turn them into guest services and they will have the characters sign it. I didn't know about for our first cruise in 2005 but I'm planning on bring a signature mat and then putting our formal pic in it. Oh and put the pillowcases or sign. mat in a ziplock bag with your name and stateroom number.

Vocaleze, about dressing up for Pirate Night, I'm all for it!! I found pirate hats and eyepatches for my kids for about a buck each at Factory card outlet, and I found an eyepatch and big gold loop earring for my husband at wallmart for a dollar! pirate: Although I bought a pirate Halloween costume for my DS (2 yrs old) and I borrowed a captain hook costume for my DH, my daughter and I are wearing normal clothes that just have a pirate "feel" to them. She's got a red skirt, and a black sweater vest and white blouse. Once she puts her eyepatch and hat on, she looks very authentic! Since it is almost Halloween, and since the PoC movies are so big, cheap pirate gear is very easy to come by, not to mention the super cool $40 -$80 PoC costumes they have on sale this week at the Disney Store. Have a good time shopping!

Vocaleze,
If you don't have it already, you may want to get the passporters guide to disney cruising. This is our first Disney cruise and I read it cover to cover. It talks about dressing up for Pirate Night, pillowcases/picture mats with sharpie markers to guest services for autographs, upgrades, etc.... They also have a website and there is a document...I think it's cool tips to cruising or something like that but you can download it on the spot (I think it costs five buck, but then they give you a 30% off coupon for the book so it pays for itself if you were going to get the book anyway). We are IN on the costumes. Got one for my DS and he is stoked! Little does my DH know, he is also going to get in on the act. Since he has been deployed the whole time I've been planning this cruise he wasn't here to protest when I ordered him a pirate bandana with long braids attached (tee hee). I also read somewhere where it was recommeded to get some of those glow sticks at the Dollar Store and use them as nightlights in the bathroom since there is not a plug in there. I got a couple extra for the deck party too. I'm going to need a U-Haul to get all this stuff to the boat!

Does anyone know where we can see a copy of recent navigators to the w. carib? DCLtribute has June of 04. Is that basically the same do you think? :confused3

Check these out. They are from June of this year.

Just wanted to say a big :thanks: for the prayers and pixie dust for my mom. We hope to have some answers early next week. Haven't been able to cruise the boards as much as I would have enjoyed so was behind on some of the news. Was sorry to read of Alan and Cale's accident but happy to hear they are released for travel. Cruising should help with a complete recovery! :thumbsup2

Daisy, I was very sorry to hear about your sister. You and your mom will be experts to help her plan for the Feb trip. Prayers and pixie dust to her. pixiedust:

Can't believe some cruisers are already on their way. Save travel to everyone. :wave2: For those still with us I think I will check out the Halloween stores and look for some pirate: bargains. How many chances will we get to be a pirate family? Better close 7am and the office is calling my name. :sad2:

Is anyone else doing the stringray excursion on CC? Just wondering if anyone would be with us. We're doing it at 11am I think.

Thanks tross! Please let us know when you get the results for your mom. I know the waiting is horrible.

Hope there's some better news next week. My Mom hung in there thru six bouts of cancer over 16 years. It was heartbreaking to see her go but we were very lucky to have those years with her. Hope you have the same

I know this was probably on an earlier post, but what do I need to bring to decorate our door? :confused3
