Everyone may have these already, but I just came across 2 for 1 adult admission coupons for Conch Train, Little White House, Butterfly Conservatory, Old Town Trolley, Pirate Soul Museum, Hemingway Home, Aquarium, Shipwreck Historeum, Maritime Museum and Ripley's.
If you still need some, send me a PM and I will email them to you.

I have had a great time reading and learning - thanks for all the cool tips and insights.

T T & T
:welcome: to the Dis and :welcome: aboard!! I think most of the people here will agree that you have started at the top of the cruise heap. I am somewhat dis green with envy over your short trip to the port and WDW, though. :teeth: I got your email and have added you to the list. This bunch is finally starting to get excited! Again, welcome aboard and jump right i! :thumbsup2

......Just for all you Americans out there that think your gas is expensive... Try 1,33 euro's ( thats about 1,65 US$ ) per liter.... Now you know why we don't drive any Cherokee or Hummer vans here.... Except for some rich guys who don't know what to do with their money... :rolleyes1.......
I'm not complaining about gas prices. We (USA) have had the some of the least expensive gas in the world for decades. When we were in England in '94, gas was the equivalent of $3.00 gallon US then. I have a friend in Germany who tells me it is around $6.00 gallon US there now. I am happy it is once again approaching the $2.00 a gallon mark. My Suburban has a 32 gallon tank.. :teacher: .. $3.00 @ 32 gallons, or $2.00 @ 32 gallons. I'll take the $2.00 anyday. My BIL's Suburban has a 44 gallon tank! :scared1: I will say though, it would take $5.00 or $6.00 a gallon for me to give my Suburban up....I really like my 'Burb. Lets hope it doesn't come to that!!!
I really like your dog. If you can pass her off as a service dog, you can get her on the ship that way! :teeth:

Well my sister and her family have decided to delay their cruise until Feb. Her doctor really didn't want her to go and she doesn't feel well enough to go. She wants to be able to enjoy it and not have to be worried about getting sick. My parents, my dh and I are still going through mainly b/c my dh, my dad and I can't reschedule for next year. We've all discussed it and feel this is best. So it's kindof bittersweet but it will still be exciting. I know my mom needs this cruise more then anyone.

Right now we are trying to figure out who to call and get my sister's family rescheduled for feb. 10th.

Printed the list today so I'll have it for reference. Gassed up today for $1.87 a gallon. Exit 10 off 295 in South Jersey. So nice having no flight for this cruise, this is a first. I see there are lots of cabins available on our cruise, just cat. 4,5,6 & 7 are open on the 9/30 trip maybe I'll be able to upgrade. :cool1: :cheer2:

Oh Daisy, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister!! I really thought from your last post that she would be coming. :sad2: I hope she feels awesome by the time Feb. rolls around. I am submitting her to our SS list at church. Please keep us updated.

3:00 at Goofy's sounds great to us!

Daisy,

I am so sorry to hear your sister won't be on the cruise. :guilty: But a delayed cruise is definitely better than no cruise at all. I hope you all can enjoy yourselves.

I took Alan to Vanderbilt today and he has the green light for the cruise - even for flying to Orlando! :cheer2: The doctor promised she would send a plane to the Caribbean for him if we needed her to! (For a small fee, I'm sure!!! ) We haven't gotten the bill for the LifeFlight helicopter ride yet. :scared: I hope it doesn't come until after the cruise.:faint:

We are officially doing the documents dance tonight!!! :dance3:

Time to get serious about the packing, now.... :coffee: :hourglass

Thanks for the prayers - they worked!
Jamie

Jamie:

So glad to hear things are improving. ;) ;)

Daisy:
So sorry that your sister won't be joining us. Just remember Feb. is not that far away. :hourglass :hourglass

Thank's for the updated list. pirate: pirate:

I don't live that far from Exit 10 295 south might be taking a ride this weekend to fill up even with the $3.00 toll might be worth the ride. Maybe, will hit Cowtown (big flea market) while I am over there!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Does anyone suggest buying the unlimited soda special or the beer mug with refills. I saw this on something. I thought that sodas were already free. Anyone done either of these things? :thumbsup2

Daisy, we're so sorry about your sister but like Jamie said... it's better than no cruise. I know how disappointed I would be if some of our group did not get to go.
More prayers for your sister's good health. :grouphug:

Sad to hear your sister won't be cruising with us. Hopefully, she will feel much better by February.

Sodas are free unless you order one at a bar or from a deck server. The beer mug is $10 or so and holds about 22 oz. You get it filled for the price of a 12 oz beer. ($5 or $6) Not bad if you like your beverages like me! :teeth:

Ding!!! You are now free to move about the country!!!! :lmao:
It is 11 days, 18 hours, 31 minutes and 40 seconds until Saturday, October 7, 2006 at 5:00:00 PM (Orlando time)
Current time is
2006-09-25 22:28:20 EDT (local time in Orlando)
2006-09-26 02:28:20 UTC

Congrats 1971visitor!!! I know yall are so excited about going.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. My sister sounded so much better yesterday after finally making a decision. She says she's at peace with it and that in Feb. she'll be able to enjoy the cruise so much more.

lbrening - Soda is free is at the drink station on deck 9. You'll be charged if you order it from the bar, deck server or from room service. They do have the mugs like the WDW resorts have. They have DCL on them. I brought one last year b/c I have one for every resort we have stayed in. I plan on taking it with me again. Also just an FYI they only carry Coke products. If you don't like Coke products then you can bring other drinks on board with you.

Yes, we do about 30 minute ride if the traffic is good. :sunny: :sunny:

Worth the ride for gas if your going to CowTown, haven't been there for a couple of years. I pass it by when I take the dog Camping (Kennels). She's such a sucker for Camping still hasn't caught on. See everyone soon, doing the go away hurricane dance. :dancer: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :cool1:

Our family would appreciate your prayers. This cruise is a gift to my parents as we intended to celebrate 2 October birthdays and my mom's recent completion of 15 months of chemo for breast cancer which she is battling along with Parkinsons. One of the doctors saw something of concern this week and has scheduled her for a CT Scan on Friday with additional tests on Saturday. We live in different states so I spoke with the MD office today by phone. They said we just won't know if the trip is still an option until after these tests. Mom so needs this trip and has been really looking forward to her first Disney Cruise.

Tammy

Tammy,

My prayers are with you. I know that right now as much as you want to go on this cruise, you can probably only think of those tests. The waiting is always so terrible. Please let us know how she is as soon as you can.

As we've already seen this week, prayer can do wonders! Isn't that right Alan and Jamie?

Ginger

Tammy,

When this group gets to praying, prayers get answered! Like there's a hot line or something! :grouphug:

We will pray for the best for your mother. Have faith.

Jamie

Tammy, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please keep us posted.

Just got this email from Delta about revised security guidelines for those who are flying. Hope to see everyone on the 7th.

Tora

Airport Security Rules Have Changed
Follow revised security guidelines to make your upcoming travel experience as easy as possible
Dear Valued Customer,
You have an upcoming flight with us, so we'd like to update you on recent changes to airport security guidelines.

Effective September 26, the Transportation Security Administration has adjusted its ban on liquids, aerosols and gels.

You may now carry on travel-size toiletries (three ounces or less) in one-quart, plastic, zip-top bags. These bags must be removed from carry-on luggage and screened separately at security checkpoints.
After clearing security, beverages and other items purchased in the secure boarding area such as duty-free items may be brought onboard.
In addition, the following substances in amounts exceeding three ounces must be declared at checkpoints for additional screening:

Baby formula
Liquid medications
Diabetic glucose treatments
Also, please review the current guidelines for packing checked baggage. And remember to label your luggage — inside and out — with your current contact information.

Visit delta.com/travelupdates for the latest information on Delta flights. And thank you for your cooperation and patience!
