Jennifer -

FE work how you wish them to work. Yuo should plan on having something for each cabin participating. Now when I say something, that can be something for each person in the cabin or it can be a combination of both or you can just have one gift for the entire cabin. You can buy just for the kids in family cabins and something separate for the adults only cabins. Again up to you. You can have things for a one time delivery or you can deliver multiple days, again up to you.

We will have a total number of cabins and participants by September 15th as we are cutting the list of then, unless it is decided to extend the date. You can certainly start preparing now, I have as well as others.

Sometime after September 15th we will split the list up so that gifts are delivered everyday that we are on the ship except for Saturday and Friday. We don't want to have a day when there are no deliveries and disappoint the kids. I will also have printable version of the participants list up on the website a few days before we sail and I wil bring copies with us.

Hope that answers your questions
Yes that answers my question. Thank you so much!

Is there a NJ chat tonight? What time - 8 or 8:30?
Thanks

If there is a NJ Chat tonight I will be unable to participate. I have to host an EMT Graduation at our County Fire & EMS Training Center tonight at 7:00 PM.

If there is one could someone post the particulars to the Discussion forum afterwards. As of now we have both the weekend of September 12 and 19 open.

I didn't even think about one, but now that someone mentioned it, I say yes. We need to start planning the next meet. The date was Sept 12th. But we can firm up tonight.
I'm good with 8pm.
I'll send out an e-mail to everyone as well.

FYI - Just talked to Concierge.

1 - Pirate night is *scheduled* for Wednesday for us. That *is* subject to change.

2 - The letter about Halloween activities is going out with our cruise documents, so we won't get it until we get those. Those are sent within 30 days of our cruise date.

Did concierge give you any heads up on Halloween? Well at least the CM I talked to was right that we were getting a letter. I guess he was a little off when he told me to keep an eye out for something soon. LOL

Thanks for clarifying!

Jamira said that she thinks it will be on the 31st. She said that they have had it on that day before when it was embarkation day. I was soooooo hoping that they would change the day.

FYI - Lanyards HAVE been ordered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:Woohoo!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We're getting so close to our cruise.

Isn't it nice that we have more pages in this thread than we do days left. We are on page 100.

Shelly - good news about the lanyards. Can't wait to see them. I keep forgetting to send you the check. Don't worry. I will.

On the NJ chat now. Just not sure if people know about it. It was a last minute thing.

That's cool!!

I can't wait to see them, either!!!!!

Oh, don't worry, Jeff, I just won't mail them until I have the check.

Hope that goes well. I tried to figure a way to attend, but air fares are just too much - and it's almost a 15 hour drive. :(

I will be on the lookout for it, Pam! And I can't wait to see them, either!!

I agree. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to be there. I just can't figure a way to do it.

What are most people doing after they leave the ship?
Our flight is not until 8:30pm. I assume we will be off the ship by 8 or 9am.
That is a lot of time to kill. Tickets to WDW are $85 per peson. Doesn't seem worth it to me for the one day.
We were planning on going to DTD, but we can't possibly spend 10 hours there (no comments from the shopaholics)

Any other ideas that won't break the bank after having spent way too much money already on the cruise?

Jeff -

Many people have posted on their trip reports that they secure a room at the Hilton at the airport and hang out there for the day since there is shopping, places to eat and a really nice pool for the kids. I think its a rather neat idea myself, especially with the room for all the luggage, kids can swim and cleanup before the flight and you can even take naps LOL. Some of the rooms look right over the runways, others right into the middle of the airport. The Hilton apparently has a day rate just for this.

Others have gone to Kennedy Space Center for the day, not sure what that costs but it has to be cheaper than WDW for the day.

We sadly are heading straight home once we embark. We should be pulling into our driveway about the time your flight leaves.

Because spending the week before the cruise in WDW won't obvoiusly be enough time, we're hanging around one more night in the Big O (Orlando). Our flight back west isn't until 6 am Sunday (cheaper than Sat evening) so we're just gonna hang at a hotel, reminisce about the previous week and look forward to the next cruise we will have certainly booked. That's all free to do.:)

I don't know how often you get to WDW, but maybe look into an annual pass. Then you'll have reason to go there after the cruise and even more reason to come back within the year. If you're a DVC member you get a good discount on the AP.:yay: We have AP for Dland and that forces me to go at least twice a year. I know you're feeling bad for me.:lmao:

Can not help you much. We are heading to Tampa to be with Eric's family. Probably go to Busch Gardens since we have season passes for it.

Back to the DTD, they do have a movie theatre there. You could catch a movie, walk around, do lunch...

Jeff:

We will be renting a car in Port Canaveral after debarking and driving over to Tarpon Springs on the West Coast to visit friends from NJ that relocated there when he was reaasigned for his next tour with the Coast Guard a year ago. We will be staying with them Saturday night and then flying home to Philly on Sunday from Tampa at 11:15.

I have had friends that have used the Hyatt day rate to hold over for their return trip after the cruise.
