What are most people doing after they leave the ship?
Our flight is not until 8:30pm. I assume we will be off the ship by 8 or 9am.
That is a lot of time to kill. Tickets to WDW are $85 per peson. Doesn't seem worth it to me for the one day.
We were planning on going to DTD, but we can't possibly spend 10 hours there (no comments from the shopaholics)

Any other ideas that won't break the bank after having spent way too much money already on the cruise?

Jeff - we have a car rented and plan to meet up with Mike's mom and stepfather (they are driving up from Jupiter) for a little while & do lunch. Our flight is around 4:00 back to Philly.

Yeah me - I finally figured out how to add the banner to my signature. I've only been working on this for 6 months!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to say hi - it has been a looooooong time since I checked in here! I admit I was kinda in the "it's just so far away mode" for a long time - especially since we booked this trip over a year ago. But now that I have made my final payment and booked our airfare, I am really feeling the excitement! I've even booked our Palo reservations, spa treatments and a few shore excursions....Woo hoo!!!

Welcome back. In case you haven't heard, several of us here in NJ already had one pre-cruise meet earlier this summer. We have tentatively set another for Sept 12th. If you are interested in joining us, we are having a chat this Tuesday night at 8:30. You can also PM me your e-mail address so you can be on my distribution list.

Hey Jeff-We are headed to Bay Lake Tower, can't wait to stay there!!:cool1:

I must admit I thought I'd be much more active on this board than I am, but I'm trying. :-)

I just wanted to let you know I got my stateroom number today :cool1: from GTY status. My friends got theirs as well so you may want to check if you also booked GTY.

Hope you're having a marvelous time planning your cruise, I know we are. We have a group of about 27 (I think) going so we're all pretty excited.

What did they give you for cabins? Are they good??

Glad your back to posting, especially cause those NJ folks are still outnumbering us VA folks, your 27 help even things out LOL!!!!!

Are you still doing FE Exchange with us?

Just popping in to say hello! I have been so busy that I have not been able to keep up with this board, lol. We have a 10-day WDW trip (BWV/AKV) that starts in 13 days that I'm doing last minute planning for, so I'll have to catch up here after that trip :surfweb: .

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone...:goodvibes

Jennifer -

FE work how you wish them to work. Yuo should plan on having something for each cabin participating. Now when I say something, that can be something for each person in the cabin or it can be a combination of both or you can just have one gift for the entire cabin. You can buy just for the kids in family cabins and something separate for the adults only cabins. Again up to you. You can have things for a one time delivery or you can deliver multiple days, again up to you....

Is there a post that gives examples of gifts that people have given in the past? We are interested in participating, but have no idea what type of gift is the norm...or are the gifts for "Trick or Treating"...:confused3

Thanks,

Charlene

We didn't get any pixie dust but we got a good cabin. We reserved a GTY 6 and got stateroom 6542, forward to midship so no complaining from me. Actually, I wouldn't complain anyway, I DID book a GTY afterall, right???:thumbsup2

All 27 of our group are from VA. I think I'm pretty close to you, I'm in Williamsburg. Some of our group is in Richmond (my sister teaches at HSHS) and some are from NoVA. We're all really excited.

Our family is still participating in the FE. I've picked up a few things for it and I hope to be able to get something "special" done this week (fingers crossed!).

Anyway, the countdown has been going on at our house for a while but once we hit 99 days it's in FULL FORCE!! :cheer2:

Bummer - we are still a GTY, no room assignment yet. I will keep checking. Hopefully there is something by Tuesday night since we leave Wed morning for a week at Saratoga Springs at WDW. I should be packing right now, just can't get motivated to start. Besides I hate bringing up the luggage because then the dogs know something is up. Might just wait until they are at my parents' house on Tuesday and then do the last minute no choice packing.

Charlene - If you go to the main Cruise message boards there are several threads, almost always on the first page or to with lots of ideas and pictures.
Those should give you plenty of ideas!

We are near you, we are in Richmond :) and on the cruise we are just down the hall, so looks like we will be neighbors on land and sea :lmao:

Make sure you share the link to the main webpage with all the families so if they wish they can download the cruise logo and make shirts for sail away day.

My dogs know when we are packing as well. If we set a suitcase on the bed, at least one will jump into it. They now have their own suitcase for when we travel

Hey Shell, LOOK.. Multi quotes :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

12 weeks everyone!

Way to go, William! Glad you got all that done.

Kelly - I'm proud of you! Great job with the multi-quote. :)

Reminder - Adult chat tonight at 8!!!!!
