My saga continues......apparently there are no cabins to move us to at the moment. I've been told that they are aware of the issue and will move us the moment it is possible. I'm beginning to think I may have to get to the port early to try for a midship cat T (3). Hubby's not happy--i told him I think it's going to cost like $1500 to upgrade:scared1: Guess I don't have to worry about packing that airbed that I just bought.
Also, still missing the night of 10/1-10/2 at VGC. And still no fantasmic times listed for any of the days we will be spending at disneyland, pre-cruise. I have to admit, this has been a very stressful planning. Usually, I enjoy the planning as much as the vacation itself. This time..............not so much!
I ay have to do the martini AND the beer tasting on this cruise!

Thank you all for your helpful and positive comments and feedback. Can't wait to meet everyone!

Fingers crossed for you. Hope they get it all worked out.

I got a little bit behind. After working 7 days in a row, I went away for the weekend for the UK reunion for our Westbound Transatlantic last year. It was a lot of fun, but I was absolutely exhausted when I got back yesterday.

I have tallied the votes and the DCL Basic design won quite convincingly. I have now changed this on the first post.

I was hoping that some more room assignments would have been made by now. If you were GTY and now have your room number, can you please either post on here or send me a PM?

My Fish Extender gifts are 99% done, packaged and labelled. I just noticed on Friday that I was one cabin gift short. Fortunately I could pick up the missing supplies while I was away during the weekend so I just have to put this together and put it in the bag and I am done.

My to do list, which consisted of about 150 items to start of with, has gone down to 12 now. Most of them are quite quick jobs as well. So I am well on track. I just noticed that I have 25 days at work and 10 days off left before I am officially on vacation.

Hi there,
this is our first disney cruise (hubs & I have cruised before) but our teens are new.
>Are the teen shore ex worth signing up for ahead or should I do it once we board?
>Is anyone else sailing with teens?

hope to hear soon ~

Hi Jodi and welcome on board. Could you please let me have the following information:

DIS Name
First name of everybody in your party (this includes any extended family travelling with you even if they are not active on here)
Ages of any children/ teenagers in your party
Where are you from?
Room number/ Guarantee
Main or late dining
Are you participating in the Scavenger Hunt?
Are you celebrating anything on the cruise?
Are you planning any pre or post cruise stay? If yes from when to when and where are you staying?

As to your questions, yes there are a number of teens in this group. I am sure their parents will say "hi" shortly. I think the teen excursions are still a bit of an unknown quantity at the moment. I think if your teens have their heart set on the actual excursions, then I would play safe and book them before getting on the ship. If it is the case that they like the idea of doing an excursion with other teens, I would probably wait until they are on the ship, have started to form friendships and know if their new friends are going.

Welcome! My daughter will be 15 in January so she is close to your daughter's age. We do not do the teen excursions but i understand that they are a lot of fun.

My DD really likes to do things around the ship like the trivia and such - she is not a huge fan of the teen club. She is looking forward tomeeting the other teens.

Hi all,
we just booked and PIF'd earlier today. This will be our 1st DCL cruise w/o our DD, so it'll just be me, Andy, and DW Susan.

Currently we're GTY, late dining.

Are we too late for the FE list?

We'll be at the Doubletree on 10/1 and then at GCH after the cruise.

Welcome!
We are driving from Queen Creek (fall break for us too! )
My boys (16 and 14) will be happy to have more teenagers! For our excursions, we are doing a zipline as a family in Puerto Vallarta, but didn't book through Disney. They company we are using has a money back guarantee is we don't make it to port for some reason. and it was MUCH cheaper.
In Cabo, My husband, boys, Brother in law and his boys, and Father-in-law are doing Dune Buggy's at the Sand dunes. This we booked outside of Disney also.
In Cabo, my girls and I are doing the Dolphin Swim and we did book this through Disney. We found out that is the only way to do the Dolphin swim.
Both excursions look so fun!
Let me know if you need more info about either the zip line or the sand dunes.
How fun that you are surprising your kids! There is no way I could have kept this a secret! :rotfl2:
Sounds like we will have a great group! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info. I have added you to our roll call spreadsheet. As you have less than 20 posts, you cannot send PMs yet, but I hope that you can receive them. I will PM you the link to the roll call in a minute. Only people who have the link can access it.

Welcome on board, I have added your details to the roll call as well.

The cut off for Fish Extenders and Secret Mickey was August 2nd so unfortunately you missed those. However, the Scavenger Hunt is still open. Where are you guys from?

We're from Santa Cruz, CA. We've not sailed on the Wonder since the 11nt Southern cruise back in 2006, so it'll be nice to see what changes have been made to her (and the upcoming dry dock).

So.....my waitlist at VGC has NOT come thru yet for the night of 10/1-10/2. :scared1::scared1::scared1: Yep, quite freaked out by this!

Where are you staying the night before the cruise? Obviously our 1st choice is to get the VGC--we will be there from 9/28. I've made some ressies local to DL, but I'm thinking that maybe I should make a ressie closer to the port. Especially since we want to be at the port early to try and change/upgrade our cabin(s)--since our family of 5 including a handicapped child, are still in non-connecting cabins. We will have a rental car, so transportation isn't an issue. I checked out doubletree, but it's pricy and there aren't anymore 2 queen-beded rooms left. Our family of 5 cannot all fit on a king sized bed! :rotfl:

So what's a good choice of hotel? I made a ressie at the courtyard in torrance, but I'm not sure if this is a good choice. HELP!

TIA!!!!!

I just now booked Doubletree with 2 queen beds for the night of the 1st, $189with AAA.
I was reading another thread where a gal mentioned that she was issued a connecting room and she preferred not to have it. Maybe the person in the other room feels the same and it will open up for you! I do not recall the room number or category though :/
Fingers still crossed! :wizard:

We are planning to stay at the Crowne Plaza San Pedro the night before our Hawaii cruise next year. Unfortunately the maximum occupancy per room there is 4 people.

Yes, we run into that alot.....max 4 persons. That 3rd kid is a real monkey wrench sometimes! But I love that kid so much, I wouldn't have it any other way!:cloud9:

I have been away from the boards a bit, but my how our party has grown. Welcome everyone! I must say I think I am going to know as many people on this cruise as I do at home. I have never done this before so it is a bit overwhelming. I can't wait to meet you all.:cool1:

Corinne I cannot thank you enough for all of your hard work. I hope Disney showers you in Pixie Dust. :wizard:

I also hope I do not embarrass myself with my FE gifts and Secret Santa gifts. All of you sound so crafty. Just remember they were made with love and good intentions:love:

I swear I have been making a trip to the craft store at least every other day trying to get these gifts and such finished up! lol! I haven't even had time to be on the boards! It has been so nice seeing everything come together though. I swear the planning has been just as fun as I think the actual cruise will be! It's been an extra bonus sharing it with family as well. My sister-in-law is lethal in the crafty department. I keep telling her to bring extra versions of her stuff to sell to other people on the ship. But she doesn't want to have to disembark in Mexico. ha ha!

What do disney cruisers do without the DIS-Boards?! I would've been so sad having missed out on this experience with you guys!!

Counting down!
Meredith
