Hey everyone. I was able to make online ressies!!!:cool1: Took a few times, but I have my email confirmations!!!!

CP - 4/1 - 8a

Finally got the TA's booking page to open... hoping to get a few clients. Does ME no good, however, because we've got a party of 10!!! :scared1:

I'm STILL trying to get through on the phone, while plugging in stuff online.

Come on Disney, all I want is CM on DS#2's birthday!!!!!!!!!!
 
Please someone tell me that this is not really a Disney operation cause I am seriously disappointed. They HAD to have known that they were going to be bombarded with calls this morning. I agree with a pp that they should have done this in stages like 100 days, 110 days, 120 days.....it would have made this so much more manageable. I am finally through again after the victoria and alberts debacle but dont know if I should stay on hold or hang up with the adr system down...think after all this, I will have to have them tell me that I have to hang up and call back later cause I just don't think I can make myself do it...I have it on speakerphone and guess I will just wait and see!
 

Well this just takes the cake!!!!! Been redialling sine 6:55am with no luck then at 9am called dvc only to have to redial them as well. Finally get through to dvc only to be told that they can not make dining ressies now because the whole system is down! I am so pissed!!!!!! So now I'm back to redialling Disney dining. Disney has had a really bad customer service year between the deaths, crashes, and the bomb scare, I think this will be my last trip to Disney for a very long time!!!!

Where have I been what deaths????????????
 
I think I got through just after the system went down or something. I was actually refreshing this thread as the CM was making my reservations and saw people being told the system went down, but my CM just kept making them. Not sure if only a couple computers went down or they were just saying that, but I just got done making my ADR's. Sounds a little shady...

LOL I've been redialing for what seems like hours. I managed to get through to Victoria & Alberts very easily. I was offered the Chefs Table for March 25th (at 9:20am in case anyone wants it - it could still be there). That main dining reservation was the most important to me as Mar 25th is my actual 25th bday and V&A is my gift :goodvibes

Now I just need to get through to regular dining lol.
 
Who are these people who do this from home? Seriously. Booking agents working from home? On the line now -- she's going to try to transfer me to another "line" because she was told the system is down and to call back in 15 minutes.
 
After an hour (on hold and speaking to a CM), we got all our ressies made for our early Feb. trip. Even LeCellier.

Am hoping the Pixie Dust gets spread around to the rest of you waiting.

I just hung up with member service to see if CRT was available yet.


He said I may want to double check my confirmation numbers later to make sure they work, that they just received an email that the system keeps shutting down and reservations may have been cancelled.

You can't be serious? I love Disney, but this is like every single new thing they've ever done when it involves anything IT-related. From all reports, it is going exactly as I would have expected -- very poorly. It all seems so very Disney-like to me.

A couple of CM's died while practicing for a show.. I might be wrong but one was Johnny Depp's character in POTC (cannot remember the character's name). Not sure about the other person.
 
Soooooooo I FINALLY got through... after being up trying online every 15 minutes since 4am... then dialing every minute since 7am. I waited on hold for 20 minutes, till I hear. "Please press 1 to participate in a survey about this call or you may hang up now." And got disconnected. OH MAN I was SOOOOOOOOO close. :furious:

I think the 100 day rollout plan would have been a good one, too.

That being said, I'm not sure what else they could have done? I'm sure they have already increased the number of employees manning the system, but it's not like they could have gone out on the street and found 100 people to come in and work for the day!

There is a lot of training that has to be done in order to be a good call center rep, and, especially given the current economic situation, a company cannot just suddenly throw untrained people into the mix.

Someone earlier mentioned Ticketmaster, well I've seen their system go down just as easily. Let's face it there are probably 1000's of calls coming in right now.

I'm willing to cut them some slack on this, because it's impossible to predict exactly how much traffic will be coming into your call center.

are you kidding meeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:mad: I finially get through on the dvc line and the system is down WT?????? keep trying dine or dvc LOL

:headache: Me too! Online dining & park hours not working so I tried to call earlier several times on the dining line then decided to wait for DVC MS to open. Got a fast busy the first few times on the 800 # so then I called the 407 # & got thru. On hold for about 10 or 15 min. and "system is down"! DOH!!:sad2: At least I got the park hours, EMH's, Fanstasmic times etc. so I can ponder over that for now. But I can't do this ALL FREAKING DAY!!!:mad:
 
still no on line ressies. I haven't called. I'm actually concerned that my old reservations for December 2009 are still intact and not lost with the change over. Last time they went from 180 to 90 there were horrible problems with lost reservations. I called about this and the CM told me that since this isn't a complete changeover it should be undisturbed, but I want reassurance.

Also, I'm trying to change one reservation. I can't check or make reservations, right now.
 
Didn't have a chance to post this a.m. had to get the kids to school and go grocery shopping but I called at 6:59 a.m. according to my computer clock (after checking several times online since 3 a.m.) I got someone right away and got everything I wanted for Apr. 17-24, even at the times I wanted, with the exception of Ohana (I got 8:05 instead of 7:15). I was shocked! The CM was great. I keep pinching myself to see if I'm really just sleeping and dreaming at my computer, since 3 a.m.! Good luck everyone!
