Okay--We've been away a while and just got caught up! Whew! Let's see-don't want no drama--I have enough dealing with my daughter's bridesmaids from hell! So, on a lighter note--and did I hear someone mention "drinking"--DH and I are hosting a state wine tasting--bring a bottle of your favorite wine from your state (or borrow a state, or a country if you prefer) and join us! No names, no sign up list (unless you want to tell me through a PM). We meet on the fantail behind Cabana's Sunday afternoon at 3pm. Bring your bottle and a glass-don't care what kind of glass. And if you are brave and good you may get to taste the spit cup!!! Okay, maybe not! Anyway, join us! We had a great time last year! Friendships formed that will last a life time!

We were thinking of heading over to see Winter the dolphin, ever since that movie my kids have wanted to visit.

Oh my goodness... I had not even thought of that! That would be amazing! Tess loves all things ocean related, even spends a week at the Ocean Institute in So. California for summer camp. I'll chat with her about it tomorrow. Thanks for the idea, Jen!

I haven't been on much lately either, but I am SO glad to see the group spinning back around to the positive group I first met. In my effort to get to know you all better, I'm currently trying to put your screen names with the names I've gotten to know on FB and, whew, it ain't easy! LOL

Did someone say "wine"? You know I'm there! Kay, did you put the date /time/location info on FB, yet? I may have missed it...:goodvibes

That's part of the fun! I'm one of the many, many Jennifers!:)

I'm also happy to see the positive energy. It's amazing when something that seemed to be an misunderstanding turns onto something so ridiculous. The drama that people can dream up. This is not the Real Housewives Halloween Cruise! Although that would be plenty scary!:scared:

Hello everyone, my name is Sarah .....

Hello. I am Bear. Great to hear from you. It's been a while. :)

As for the group tshirt ......

Thanks for directing us. We appreciate your expertise.
We would love to have T shirts for this sailing. We have unique T shirts for all our sailings. We consider this a priority.
We have limited time aboard, yet ample time shore side. We would be honored to assist in anyway possible with this endeavor, as long as it is shore side.

Thank you for your assistance and consideration regarding our needs. :thumbsup2

I really wish I could make it on this cruise!!!
So do we. On many levels. We will miss you and company, and your expertise. But it's all good. There is a reason for everything. Perhaps we just found it. The earlier the better is what I was told. lol. ;)

I think it would be best if ..... someone who can handle ... constructive criticism should do these projects... This is a BIG project, trust me!! ....
I concur with this. These events can involve some time, even aboard. We have two sea days. Not much time. I know that sounds like a lot of time for a newbie, but... it isn't. Especially if you have kids.

:)

..... I have plenty of time to devote ..... and was looking for a project to keep me busy,
I happy to hear this. This comforts my family. ;)

I just hope I do it justice,
Please..... You rock.... and we are lucky to have you aboard assisting with events.

Thanks

:goodvibes

I feel like I am missing things.

So do I. But, I have been assured we are not missing things. FBers are sharing with us. Isn't that sweet. lol. :lmao:
Events on FB are shared here too. IOW events discussed there, are here.
Of course I welcome a debate. JK. lol.

I am not on Facebook, nor do I plan on joing just to be part of this group.

Nor do I. We are in concert.

I did not realize that different things were being discussed/planned on that group.

They are not, technically. :):)

It is disappointing thatd we do not have one site where everything is on the table. It does not feel like much of a "group" if things are being planned in more than one place. I thought the point of this forum was to post things related to our cruise but if this is not the only site, there is a huge potential for hard feelings if there is an activity that someone misses just because they didn't know the correct place to look.

Agreed, and I understand your feelings. I feel the same way. But that is not occurring. The FB maybe smacking face but they are not conspiring against us. Nor are they planning events behind us.

Don't mean to rant, but I feel out of the loop.

Me too. It's OK. I feel out off the loop posting here weekly. lol.

:goodvibes

....... I am sorry that the Facebook part leaves some folks feeling left out. I do think that Sarah and Sweets are doing a nice job reaching out in both places. I feel like everyone is welcome in both spots and there is room for all to enjoy both spots. :) I'm trying to take a wait and see attitude on the TOT situation because I don't want to stir up more drama, but I would be lying if I didn't say I have concerns too. I do think the stateroom plan is not ideal with kids, and appreciate Ron's insight into the workings of DCL. Happy cruise thoughts to all and to all a goodnight!

Thanks for eloquently stating my thoughts. :thumbsup2

;)

I didn't mean to get things stirred up. I just felt like there were two different groups with different info being shared and this was going to lead to people missing something.

just don't want to feel left out or like we missed something.

Agreed. Except, I would like to get things stirred up. :lmao:

Thanks for the push. :)

:goodvibes

... We are looking at cruising on Halloween, yet may change to the Wonder so we don't have to worry about drama. We as a family, would like to just have fun and enjoy ourselves....

Than you better not switch to the worn out Wonder. :lmao:
I apologize to the Wonder. But .... talk about drama.

I'll ask if you are sailing with kids? That can change things up for the kids. Given the height and weight limits for rides and such.
Having said that..... all the drama will remain here, on these pages.
It's funny actually. Once aboard 95% of this is moot, IMO. You'll see. ;)

The Fantasy can only impress on every level metaphorically and literally.
I can't say that for the Wonder. Trust me. Spend the $$$ for the Fantasy if you like "new" and modern gizmos. ;) Beautiful new cabins and baths. Nice.....

Fun and enjoyment is more prevalent aboard the Fantasy than these boards BTW. :lmao:

Also the new builds have a better space ratio, which is never/rarely mentioned.
Dream Class 37, Magic Class 34.

Of course the pools can't be visited during regular hours regardless of vessel. lol. :(
But if you know that going in it helps. Don't sail ships for pools BTW.

Pool hours are 8-10am, 5-11pm. ;) IYKWIM.

Once aboard and settled, the only drama will be in your trip report on return. IMO. lol.

;)
