FE EXCHANGE

hello everyone,
since taking over the FE from Jen, i have had a couple of people drop out due to the group size, i have also had a few requests to split the group. we currently have 41 families registered.
So my plan is to ask the group collectively here and on facebook to pm me with their opinion on splitting the group, intially i would just like either a yes or no. however if you would like to put forward a proposal on how to split the FE group, then i am happy to hear that as well.
you only need to pm once either on here or facebook, once everybody's opinions have been received (deadline 25th April 2014) i will feedback to the group.

I think since Jen was the one who posted it, she would have to change it every time. I don't think we can edit it. That is why part of the 'roll call' is now on page 61 right?



i like this thread, is there anyway we can just update the first page?

Which ever you all would like to do... If you want to keep this one going I can do my best to keep up post one. Either way, I just hope this cruise turns out awesome for you all! Or if there is another poster with a post on the first page wants to make a pseudo post one, I can just remove info in that post so that the first post with info looks like the "first post". Again, I wish I could join you all. But I promise I won't be offended if you move away...

I'm there. I'll be happy and excited. No guarantee about not being scary though. lol.

My only concern is "when."
Obviously it is a sea day. So is it the first sea day? Unlikely.
Therefore, it must be the last sea day, after Falmouth, 10/30, Thursday.

When could it be possibly be scheduled not to interfere with other activities?
I suppose that is impossible. I only ask it be scheduled after Brunch if possible. ;)

Thoughts ? ? Time of day ? ? No hurry. :goodvibes

Hi! Thanks so much for all the offers of help. Gonna need everyone chipping in to make this great and I know it will be.

My plan right now is for the second day at sea, October 30. I'm not sure exact time for brunch so it may overlap a little as I'm looking at 10:00-11:30am (I think 90min should be enough)

Still working out many details.
 
Agreed. I assume you are talking about aboard the Fantasy?

The only question left is where. I mentioned early in the thread for the desire to do it outside on deck 12 perhaps, weather permitting.
Some liked that, most didn't honestly. I'm flexible of course. My desire (fantasy) if possible is to have a photo on the atrium staircase with the whole group, as I have seen in the past. Never understood how they did this with 60 - 100 pax though. I always thought it was done late for some reason. But understand the likely hood of a late gathering is nil.
Anyone done that photo op? Do you say anything to the CM's? Or do you just take over. :scared1: :duck:
I've heard it is done initially the first day. That is the only time you will ever get the group together. I eventual came around and agreed. :p IYMWIM.

So excited that another member of our cruise stepped up and has taken on planning our "Meet and Greet". Her name is Liz Garrett Green. She has already reached out to DCL about securing a room on day one. She's also mentioned getting a bartender for $15 and character for $500 and any thoughts on that from members of the group.

I asked her about photographer so I'm sure she will look into that too.

I'll take it. I think there is a way for Irish cowboys to merge them, but I will start a new and post the roll call on the first. Since you don't mind, I will "borrow" your info.

REQUEST - Trick-or-Treat Public Area Station Locations: If you have cruised on the Fantasy and have a specific public area location to recommend please PM Maggie Bottom Facebook or DIS Travoria. When recommending location keep in mind:
1) 10-20 children/adults in that area at once
2) Is it a high traffic area?
3) Need 8-10 locations
4) Is there a seating accommodation for station attendants?
5) Times will probably be between 10-11:30am (subject to change but shooting for between breakfast & lunch sugar high)
6) PLEASE do not post here as a comment. Want to keep this as much as a surprise as possible for everyone...even adults!
7) Submit suggestions by July 1st as a fellow cruise mate will be on the Fantasy in August and she's going to walk the route we establish for any issues.
