Question, our cruise documents haven't arrived yet I've tried getting ahold of our TA several times but she hasn't responded yet. What happens of those documents (more specifically our luggage tags) don't arrive? Can we carry our luggage onto the ship? Can we get tags when we check in at the port?

The porters have luggage tags and will fill them out if needed.

That's all you should need from the booklet, but technically don't.
It's those checking bags straight thru from airline to ship the same day using DCL bus transportation to port who really need those baggage tags.

Check-in goes a touch faster if you have completed your online check-in with all the info and print the signature page and bring that at check-in.

I left all of my docs at home when I traveled off to Alaska. They put all of my luggage tags on the bags upon arrival. Then had a checklist for guests that forgot their papers.

No worries, if you are booked, as long as you have your ID, they will let you on the ship.

I can't believe that we leave this wk!! I'm feeling the crunch with all the last minute stuff to get done & the packing & leaving my house super clean. I like coming home with no old household stuff to do as there tons of laundry afterwards.

That's pretty much the case around here. We were away this weekend so DH could celebrate his birthday with the extended family. We both have to work up until we leave on Friday, so that's taking most of our time. Thankfully we started packing last weekend Our cruise docs arrived today, we have our Magic Bands, our DCL transfers are booked, we just need to survive to Thursday evening when the ILs arrive.

Ha ha. Five days to go don't mean squat. Plenty of time for a monster hurricane to form. Trust me... You won't know about the storm until after three days after we sail. I'm sorry I doomed are sailing. My bad.

Every time we sail we have "unexpected seas" Lol.

ETA; Safe travels, and we will see you aboard. Regardless of seas.

I hope I'm wrong, but every sailing experiences heavy seas. Regardless of destination, regardless ship, regardless of cruiseline. We are a jinxed.

Hey Bear what do you think the weather is going to be like? Honestly at this point, there could be a hurricane and I wouldn't care. I'm just excited to get away from work and all the madness that is real life. As long as we're safe, I say bring it on! I once rode Splash Mountain during a torrential Florida downpour (I mean you could barely see your hand in front of your face downpour, it was awesome! ) so a hurricane can't be much worse right? Think they'd still let me ride the AquaDuck?

Sending out a big thanks to all who have volunteered to enhance our sailing experience with the FE, ToT, Tastings, etc.

OK, .... I got our luminescent polypropylene rope, (which I lacked, and missed once, lol.) GPS emergency beacon locators, we will check life vests in cabin third thing to assure fit and finish, we will review our personal lifeboat drill plans too, immediately after introduced to the cabin, we will also review DCL's lifeboat theory of evac fifth thing once settled in cabin.
We also have our LED flashlights too. (we lost power in cabin once, lol. )
And we have our 100 tablets of Bonine, and are already starting the ingesting process.
Trust me, learn from a pro. lol .......

So with all that Murphy's Law consideration, we should have seas like glass.

Just trying to help all of you, and the other 3000 pax.

I'm determined to nix this jinx of heavy seas, by performing every task we can to break this trend.
The only thing I don't have is a night vision camera.
