Thanks! Glad to be along. I seem to be sort of addicted to Disney - and I think I"ve addicted my entire family. Bad me :rotfl:

YOu say that like it's a problem!? :confused3

hehe well we have a website I put out there it's halloweenonthehighseas.net Ill PM you the password. I tried to put up a private message board but it's flakey and wants you to login to many times... I may delete it if there are no objections.

Also there is a chat room, chats are Thursday and Saturday nights in general, but the room is always open!

ahhhhh...........I missed chat last night! Hope I didnt miss anything good!:( I have really been trying to make it in to them but it just didnt work last night.

Welcome Bill! Your family is beautiful!

almost at the 4 month mark! :banana: I'm just reading peoples trip reports getting myself all psyched to go.popcorn:: Worse part is the more I read the more questions pop up:headache: and the harder it is for me to wait!:rolleyes1 I guess I just like doing it to myself. :lmao:

Well, we are officially going to be joining you on this cruise. This will be our third Disney Cruise. We took our first one , Eastern, in January '07 as a gift from Santa. We liked it so much that we booked another one, Western, for October '07. While we were on board in October we put down a deposit for another 'fake' cruise with hopes that Disney would announce the Mediterranean again, but that didn't happen :(

But then we saw that they were going to have Double Dips at Castaway Cay and thought that sounded good so we switched our fake date to this cruise. We weren't sure if we were going to keep it or not, or switch again, but we have now decided that we are definitely going on THIS cruise :cool1:

We've usually done 7 days at Disney World after the cruise but that has just seemed to be the wrong way to do it. We are so relaxed on the cruise, but then feel so rushed at the parks... So this time we are doing it the 'right way' :)

Here is the plan:

October 18 - 25th Disney World staying at the Poly
October 25th - Nov 1st Cruise!
November 1st - 2nd Disney World staying at the Poly

The original plan was to fly back on the 1st, but the best airline deal we could get was through Frontier and they only fly out at 8 something in the morning so it wouldn't work. So my DW came up with the great idea of staying for an extra day after the cruise so the flight times would work :love: (some how I'm sure it makes sense to save money on the flight by adding another night at the Poly...)

The cast is:

Me - Bill - DH
Rashelle - DW
Brianna - DD - 9
Caitlin - DD - 7

Here is a picture of us on the Magic back in Jan '07. I was sure I had one uploaded from Oct '07 but I can't find it right now and we don't look any different anyway :)

Thank you for the website info!:thumbsup2

I hadn't been to Disney till I went with my DW (DF then) back in '95. Then we went again for our Honeymoon in '98. I didn't think we'd been all that much after that (well not to me anyway) but when I called to make the Poly reservations for October the CM said "Oh, I see this will be your 19th trip to Disney World".:eek: :banana: I'm sure if we didn't live so far away that it would be a lot more ::yes::

Thanks!

I'm sure that my girls would like that a lot. They have really enjoyed the clubs on the last two cruises. My youngest actually skipped dinner with us one night on the last cruise because they were doing an activity she 'had to' attend :goodvibes

Okay so just got off chat and we discussed nametags (among other things) and all the questions that some may have. So I am already asking forgiveness in the length of this post!
~~~~
The name tags I made look great in the size I posted. If you shrink it down to the size of the FREE laminate pouches (think wallet size) it loses something. I think it looks better in the size of the original post. think more of a backstage pass.
The cost of name tags alone would be minimal. The cost of some paper. A variable would be the laminate pouches if we wanted a larger size. I think I can print them at work so ink costs may not be a problem.
Lanyards are the neck peice that would hold the nametag. I thought it could be black with the saying " Halloween on the High Seas" On the website I looked into, the cost would be about $400.00. This would include the paper and some ink for the nametags.
So if people are interested in both the cost would be about $2.00 each (nametag and lanyard). I mentioned in an earlier post about donors. If anyone is interested in being a donor for the project, 20 people could give $20 to the project. Then everyone would get a free souvenir. So far I have 3 people interested in being a donor. I would need 17 more.
If I do the lanyards I would need to order in the next 3-4 weeks. so I am calling all the people who may not post a lot but may want to participate to PLEASE respond. I need participants or we may have to cancel the whole project. If you have any thoughts on the idea positive or negative please post.:confused3
I had also said I would be happy to be donor. If you need any other help with the project please let me know.
Can anyone up date me in a few sentences?
What Costa Maya, not Caymen, Cozumel. What the heck is the itinerary?
Carla and Brad, boys 15 and 12:confused3
OK That is really strange. I would love to be going to Costa Maya but if I had to bet on it I think it will be Grand Caymen but we all know that our port are subject to change... They just don't get what it does to us OCD trip planners!!!!!!!!
Welcome back...
It looks like we will be going to Grand Caymen instead of Costa Maya . If you go on DCL site that is how they list our itinerary. But I think only time will tell. I know that I will only be booking excusions with DCL this way if ports change I will not have any problems with cancelling.
Thanks to all for the warm welcomes :goodvibes
With only a little over 4 months left I have a question already:
What is the official 90 day mark for the cruise where we can book Palo, excursions, etc...? And is it still at Midnight Eastern (I think that's when it was anyway)? I always seem to miscalculate by a day one way or the other :confused3
I wanna go!!!!!!!!!:scared1: :wave2: :headache:
But we did have agreat time,
Although california is not as PRETTy as one would think.
And the terminal there is not a happy place but once we got on board it was awesome again!!
i had lost my voice for about 4 days on the cruise and the head of childrens Activities found out about it and sent me teas to my room with Honey it was soo nice.
Anf then we had a problem with the Kids club becasue of the cahnge in the policy with the check in and check out not being in place any more and they sent us a scrabble game to our room, as as gift.
