Sarah, Halloween candy is out in full force right now! Sales already going on and Halloween costumes disappearing as fast as they put them out! Oh, and then two aisles down is the Christmas stuff.......YIKES!

Actually, you guys will probably hit it at the Ultimate sale time (well, not including the after sales where you can gets bags for 10 cents! Got that one last year at Wal-mart...whoohoo!) so you should be good to go once you get in the states.

Okay, I am going to make an executive decision here :scared1: because we can never seem to get a group decision on this one. Based on what I've read on the post Jackie posted about the group photo ops, in between meal times seemed to get a good response. And in chat, the pics on stairways got a good response. So how about this....... (drum roll please...)

There isn't a show listed for the WD theatre that night, and it should still leave time for official DCL family photos. The latest of the early diners (6:00) should be finished - especially if you tell your servers you need to be finished, and the first of the late diners (8:00) will still have lots of time. If we get a huge turnout, we might be able to use the threatre!!

Oh man, it's bad enough everyone on chat knows I'm such a procrastinator, and now you want me to admit it on the boards too!!!

Okay,

- have most of the shopping done - unless you count needing 2 pairs of pants for Adam and casual... and formal... and semi-formal clothes for Alex. In my defense, he hates to shop and makes the whole process torture :eek: so I have valid reason to put that off as long as possible. My excuse for putting off shopping for Adam is he loves to shop, picks out the most expensive stuff, and will want much more than the 2 pairs of pants we need to get !:lmao:

- have 3 of 4 pirate costumes. Still have to sort out hubby, but do have part of his costume.

- Halloween costumes - the rest of Alex's on order, have babysitter :love: searching her Halloween stash for rest of Adam's and part of mine. Have to dig through storage area for part of hubby's. Little bit of shopping to them finish off hubby and I - providing babysitter is successful. If she's not - I'm in a fix!!!! :scared1:

- door magnets - need to print off (which I think sounds better than haven't started, but do have them started - sort of.... :rotfl: )

- FE - half done on dining room table. Okay, more than half done, just need to personalize and put on last of bias tape. (To finish that is my task for today - I PROMISE :worship: SUZIE & DANA!!!! )

- T-shirts bought, need to put logo on. Not starting that until get FE done. If have half as much trouble doing the iron ons with those as have had with FE - will be buying matching shirts in WDW !! :rotfl2:

- do have cruise box in closet with all kinds of necessities in there. Have to sort that out, see what I'm missing. My FE goodies are in there too, so have to double check and make sure have everything I need.

Okay - thanks to Suzie's Question of the Day, I am now slightly nauseous :sick: !! We're down to 1 month from today :dance3: for our pre-cruise WDW stay, so I'd better get cracking!!

FE ideas are organized... for the most part... does that count? :idea:

Actual FE? Just waiting for it to come in from Tiffany... :yay:

Trick or Treating... DONE... (that is why I took the easy way out and gave $$$ towards the bags) ;)

Halloween Costumes... Mine came in yesterday!!! I have the poodle skirt and the cool 50's glasses... I am planning to wear it with a black tube top and maybe a white shirt over that (gotta give it an updated flair)... I also already have a black neck scarf and black shoes that will be good enough... I am not buying saddle shoes for one night! I just need (and cannot find for the life of me) little white bobby socks with the lace - still searching... Now Nelson is not a Halloween person so I thinking I am going to just try to get him to wear black pants and a white shirt... maybe I can get him to throw his sunglasses on for pictures.... That should work...

Pirate stuff.. We both have pirate t-shirts... I also bought us both an eyepatch and a gold hoop earring... that is probably the extent I will get to with Mr. Party Pooper...

Luggage pulled out? Are you kidding me? :eek: It's still packed from the last vacation in July of 2007! :scared: OOPS!

Packing is getting started... mostly just all the new stuff I bought is shoved into a suitcase on a chair in the dining room as opposed to still being in all the individual bags from the individual stores all over the dining room floor. (Added bonus: all plastic bags have already been carted off for recycling ~ I am so good and green ~ sometimes! Half of the new clothes I bought have already been washed... just need to wash the other half then toss it all in the travel roll up air squishie outie bags (does everyone know what I am talking about? I cannot remember the real names)...

Door magnet... Most are printed and just awaited their magnetic backing.... dont have a good inkjet to buy the magnetic paper but i have access to a good color copier... so I printed them out and thinking about slipping them into plastic sleeves and using magnetic tape on the back....

Anything else I have to do? :confused3

I just want to say that I really love that term "patooties" - never heard that one, but I just love it! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Now where am I up to in my cruise preparations: this may be a long answer and you may regret asking that question Suzie?

Fish Extender: still need to finish fish extenders - waiting for printer ink so that I can print off our names.

Fish Extender Gifts: ordered stuff to make adult gifts, halloween gifts in progress, girls more or less sorted, really struggling with ideas for the boys.

TOT: will purchase this in Florida to keep the baggage down.

Pirate Costumes: pirate skirts in progress, still need to get / make female pirate tops x 3, male pirate shirt x 1, pirate pants x 1, pirate accessories.

Halloween Costumes: getting there but need bits for 4 costumes (only 2 totally ready)

Other items needed: tuxedo for both DS's, semi-formal dresses for both DDs.
A bunch of other stuff such as swimming costumes, sandals, rash vests for snorkelling, water shoes, but may get these in Florida as I am sure they are more readily available! Also need camcorder, memory cards, batteries and charger.

Magnets: not yet started

T-shirts: may abandon this idea dependent on how everything else progresses.

Packing: some holiday clothing sitting in the cases but not packed properly yet! I am already experiencing severe packing anxiety about how many cases to bring etc.

Now perhaps I need to get off this computer and get on with some of this stuff ........ anyone got a magic wand :wizard:

Oh and I lend my support to all motions passed re. the group photo - sounds great!

Ive got my FE stuff ready, ToT candy bought, workong on door signs.
Still need to figure out what Im wearing, I have a formal dress, DH has a suit already so that leavesthe kids for formal night. Halloween Costume s being made and I am wating for the wig I ordered to arrive. :goodvibes DH and all my friends think Im crazy for packing so early.

Next: Ahh Suzie's question, this is showing how much procrastinators we all are, At least we are a good group together, here we go as much as I do not want to put this in writing!

1. FE Gifts: well i can officially say i have bought a few things today (did this before I posted so I could actually say I started:thumbsup2: )

2. Towncar reservations: No

3. Tips prepaid: No

4. TOT stuff: No

5. Packing: No (but I did buy new luggage does that count?)

6. Halloween & Pirate costumes: We will not be dressing up...

7. Shopping list:biodegradable sunscreen (anyone know where to get this?)
Binoculars, laundry detergent travel size, candy, medicine (bonine etc), a few dress/khaki pants for DH and DS (or can they wear jeans with a nice shirt to dinner?)

8. Print out Cruise docs, Airline ressies, hotel ressies, and pack passports: No

9. To buy or not to buy trip insurance: Not done yet cannot decide if I should buy or not

10. magnets: actually 75% done need to laminate a few.

11. Hotel booked for night before flying: DONE and paid for!

12. Buy me a new swim suit; UGH dreading this one!!!

13. Buy WDW tickets for after cruise: Not done

I know there is more but it seems like so much! Less than 5 weeks to go, I can not wait!
 
Hi, my name is Staci, and I'm a procrastinator.

Well, that didn't make me feel any better. Oh, well, here goes.

FEs done: the one for DH's parents is done, but ours is still only 75% done - exactly where it was at the beginning of last weekend. Sigh.

FE gifts: I get bonus points for this, and am listing it near the top. Yes! I hope to get a few more things, but I have enough done that if I did nothing else, I wouldn't feel guilty. My husband thinks I'm nuts, because I labeled a large ziplock bag for each person, with their name, room #, age, etc., and put their stuff into it. I need to transition everything into something useful for passing out, but I now have stuff for everyone on my list! Woohoo!

Packing: umm. Well, I have my generic cruising bag, which is still sitting unpacked from the last cruise, so does that count? I, uh...made sure I had enough luggage? Perhaps I should at least make a list of what I need to pack? Yeah, I'll get back to you on that.

Transportation to the port: you'd think that since we live so close, with the only thing I need to coordinate is transportation that I could take care of this quickly and easily. But no, I'm procrastinating. We wouldn't all fit into one car with our luggage, so worst case is we take two cars and park them, but I was thinking of getting a limo. Do I get bonus points for actually thinking about it? Partial credit, perhaps? I didn't think so. Oh, well. I suppose I should spend some time being thankful that I don't need to coordinate air travel, hotel, and transportation - I could probably use that thinking time to procrastinate actually doing it. But I won't admit to it. :rotfl2:

Shopping: the only thing I think we need is a new dress for DD. She could wear a princess dress, but it'd be nice to get her a new formal dress to wear. However, the mall that sells the dresses I like is to the west, and the only road there from here has been under water since Hanna. I haven't seen the sign saying it's under water in a few days, so maybe it's ok now. I know, I'm being picky, but I have 5 weeks, right! It's not procrastinating if it's not (completely) my fault, right??

Documents: I made my "cruise notebook" before Christmas, so I could make it for the rest of the family traveling with us (most bowed out, but that's besides the point). So, I have all that information printed and ready. I did the online information a few weeks ago, and I printed what I think I needed, but I do need to go back and make sure I printed everything. I might be ok with this one.

Basically, if I had to go today, I could go, but I would have to "make do" with what's handy (but I'd still be quite happy to go today!!). I still have a lot to do to feel that I'm really ready like I want to be ready. But, at least I know I'm not the only person in that (Disney!) boat!!

Everyday is about this cruise. Who would have thought seven days of fun could be so time consuming?

FE: I'm somewhat stuck. I so want Disney-font-personalized names on ours and may have found a local embroiderer to do it. There are some great examples of FEs on the boards and I am jealous. I don't do embroidery and don't want to fork out the $$$ to get a machine just for this project. But it is so hard to find someone to do small quantity jobs. I'm calling her tomorrow to see what she can do.

I think I need to send my FE gifts in the mail and let our room steward deliver them to the cabin. Does anyone have the address/information on doing this, or should I just call Disney? I think someone mentioned this option in some post somewhere (I keep reading various posts and threads and then don't know where it was and am too impatient to wait while the "search" function takes its sweet time opening.

I'm throwing vacation items in a box as I come across them (passport, waterproof Key to the World container, FE gifts, etc.)

But what is keeping me most intrigued is the 2010 cruise schedule coming out (October 7?) soon. The latest on the DIS boards opening page makes me think I might get to do the Mediterranean that I missed last time...haven't even packed for this cruise and am already plotting another.
