Allow this Wisconsinite to offer a BIG Texas welcome to Walt and Di !!

OK...just a question. How come I can't post smilies?? And I can't bring up more smilies either. I click on "more" and nothing happens. Anyone? anyone??

Hope you all had a great holiday. I found out that I will become a Mother in Law in Spring of 08'. DS (26) FINALLY popped the question to his DGF of 6 years. Does this make her a "DF" (dear fiance') now? Not to be confused with "dear friend"???

me neither - perhaps its a glitch in the new system.

Congrats to your ds. That'll be something else to plan apart from disney holidays then - unless of course its a disney wedding!

its quiet on here isnt it!

bye for now

Walt and Di,

Glad to hear you are joining us! Dyerneeds told us how much they loved spending time with you on our last cruise, can't wait to see you aboard!

Nancy,

Congrats to you and your son and future daughter! You will have something very special now to look forward to after the cruise :thumbsup2

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I'm glad it's over with!
Now we still have to contend with Ukrainian Christmas with Rob's family in January (we celebrate xmas day with my fam and Ukrainian xmas with Rob's) and then Kira's baptism on January 13th. Then maybe we can relax a little :) (Cha right!)

A few more days and I will be back on my Elliptical so I can get back into shape for Disney World!!! Haven't been on that since I found out I was pregnant LOL!! I'll try not to fall off and kill myself before the cruise!

Hiya

Ukranian xmas sounds like fun! - what do you do differently, eat etc?

My diet begins Jan 1st - eeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!

I really need to get back on track. I buy every exercise dvd out there and have gym membership each month taken out of my bank account but I dont put a dvd in and hardly ever go to the gym. 10 months to shift about 15lb. Doesnt sound to bad but in reality I know i'll struggle. I'm just too greedy and love my food too much. I'm good for a while then go off the rails big time.
5 more days of gluteny before the diet begins - I'd better get eating then!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I have been so busy with the year end. I have been wiped out by the time I get home from work each night, really hard to get into the Xmas spirit. I started Tae Kwon Do about 3 weeks ago to get in shape, my daughter is a 2nd level Black belt, I found out that I have muscles in places that I did not know could hurt. We are looking at all the Disney stuff during the parade yesterday and want to go now. This is the first time in 5 years we don't have a Spring trip planned. We are saving up for the Cruise and a new deck.

Have a happy new Year Everyone

Judy

Welcome Walt and Di

Hope you dont ache too much:eek:

I have just had a huge slice of cheesecake:cloud9: - ok, may aswell call it almost half a cheesecake:rolleyes1

I have 3 days to eat the remains of my freezer and fridge :hourglass - I gonna have a real good go:rotfl:

Karen Mouse,

Ukrainian xmas is similar to what we do with xmas and my family except for the food. Rob's mom makes a 13 course meal with ukrainian dishes. After that huge ordeal, we open presents :woohoo: Ukrainian xmas is Jan 7th but we always do it on the 6th, xmas eve.

We are getting hit with lots of snow at the moment and my two brothers just arrived in Orlando last night and are currently in Epcot. Why does that happen every single time someone in my family goes somewhere warm....it turns nasty cold here!!!!????? :confused3

I am debating changing our dinner seating to main...I was just thinking that Kira will be on table food by then and we were going to feed her early then try a couple of hours in Flounders while we eat a late dinner....but she will need her meats and veggies and stuff and the only thing I can think of to get an early dinner for her are places like plutos and goofy's galley but they only have bigger kid stuff like burgers and dogs and chicken strips.

I know there is a dinner buffet but it's a sit down buffet where they bring you your main dishes while you grab your appetizers at the buffet so that won't work. Right? Anyone ever do dinner at Topsiders?

I looked at the room service menu and there are a few things she can have but hardly any meats and no veggies.

Any suggestions? Perhaps I will just change to main seating but I heard that they tend to rush you and I don't want to be rushed!

13 COURSES!!!!!!!!!!!!! - I'd be in heaven!:rotfl: have a great time on Jan 6th:santa:

We are main dining. We eat fairly early at home and we'll have been in Florida a week so will be adjusted time wise so I would rather Ellis eat his dinner and fall asleep during the show than the other way round. At least the show will keep him entertained whereas if he's a bit tired and grumpy he can get a bit stroppy at the dining table. I just hope we dont get 5pm sitting. I would ideally like 6pm. Whichever you choose I'm sure Kira will be fine. I used to panic about getting all the right nutrients etc into Ellis on holiday when he was tiny but for 2 weeks we subsided with vitamin drops and plenty of fruit and yoghurt etc and he was always fine. I find it just as hard in the parks with our choice limited already due to his nut allergy its not easy finding healthy food. Its usually pasta, burgers and nuggets. He's a skinny thing anyway - 2 weeks of high calorie rubbish might actually put some meat on his bones:laughing:

Di,

We're scheduled to eat early. Which do you prefer. It doesn't matter to us.

At work now, Di is with grandkids babysitting since they are out of school...

Will email you tonight, but we have early seating and linked with you today when I changed our seating......

Thanks to "others" for the welcomes...Will try and give you our profile when holidays slow down...

Looking forward to meeting "you guys"...

timon.. we ate early on our first 2 cruises and didnt feel rushed.the last cruise we did the late seating and felt rushed to get to the late shows at clubs and pirates show. we actually liked earlier , so this time we booked the early one.

Hi Rob and Timon,

What a beautiful girl you have, Kira.

Looking forward to visiting with you on the trip.

Like Mike and Robin said, believe the early dinner sitting would be better.. Seems we were rushed to get to night events and was too full to enjoy the late night buffets...

Walt and Di
